AIBU to wonder why Burnham attracts so much negativity?

Why is there so much negativity towards politicians and Burnham in particular? Burnham hasn’t really done anything yet but so many on here appear to hate him.

I agree that politics has been a shambles recently but what’s the alternative?

Personally I feel a degree of optimism that we may have a PM that actually turns things around for us.

How can Burnham inspire confidence and belief in his “trust me , I’m a man of the people” rubbish when he and his cult like followers ( mad Nad Lucy Powell et al) have plotted and bullied their way into power?!!

Wasn't BJ an actual MP, unlike burnham who was last in nearly 10yrs ago. Surely recent experience is very relevant for such a senior role and no I don't mean as a council boss.

He is wet behind the ears and a backstabbing sneak to add to that. Great attributes.

Boris had did have more recent MP experience on becoming leader, but Burnham has far more experience overall.

I’m not a big Burnham fan, nor a Labour voter. But I’m reading so many people making out that he has never set foot in the Commons before and has only ever been a Mayor. I think that because a lot of people (especially younger, southern adults) aren’t familiar with him they just assert that he has no experience when it isn’t actually the case. He’s a career politician.

Politics in whatever form is not fit for purpose and has no idea how to cope with the demands and problems of the modern world

I don't really take much notice of any of them. As they are all out for themselves, to serve the Elites and keep their party's in power.

Simple as that.

I think one of the most hated Prime Ministers of the last 50 years was Thatcher.

We should have known what she was in the making when she stopped school milk for children. When she was Minister for Education.

I remember being forced to drink one of those tiny bottles of milk at school for ages, and I must have started school in 1977, so I never understood when this was! I hated it. I still cant drink milk 'plain' and I can't even look at someone else drinking plain milk! DS2 deliberately drinks a glass of milk in front of me just for jokes!
