How long does Trump have left?

whoremembers · 20/07/2026 21:35

In office?
On earth?

Will he just carry on, an unwell man, until 2028? Or will he call it quits and resign?

Or will he pass before then anyway?

I am no Trump supporter, but he really is 'going out sad'

Edit: context
Its becoming clear that Trump has a kind of dementia. A guy on tiktok claims that at the World Cup Final, he was 'sundowning' by wondering around everywhere.

Him being handled there and in Turkiye, is proof enough for me. Apparently he constantly smells of urine as well, due to his meds.

Do you actually know what sundowning is? It's not just being a bit odd in the evening. Sundowning is something which starts to happen in middle and late stage dementia. It often involves the person shouting, having hallucinations, being very restless, unable to concentrate, very confused and distressed.

Now think what you like about Trump and it'd be fair to say I am not a fan, but he does not have mid-stage dementia.

I didnt 🤷‍♀️

He was sleepy though bless him - also being propped up by his team

Trump sleeps more

He's 80 years old and 45lbs overweight. His BMI is just short of obese.
He drinks 12 cans of coke a day and his favourite foods are apparently Doritos, burgers, well done steak with ketchup, KFC and sweets.

He avoids most types of exercise apart from golf in the belief that exercise uses up a persons finite energy and causes them to die sooner.

No way is his BMI short of obese. He is obese.

I mean no offense to anyone who has dealt with dementia - i tried to use the exact language from the tiktok (from a doctor). I know that on mn, lots of people will be dealing with this disease.

But I dont see why he couldn't be sundowning?

We dont know just how far advanced the dementia is, and how difficult he is to deal with? He could be just about cognitive enough to be in public - bearing in mind how many people are watching and supporting him

His appearance at the world cup wasnt just a confused old man

He had prostrate cancer, his problem was that he didn’t step down earlier. Might have given the next runner more time however the US is not ready for a female leader however good they are educated means nothing to the likes of MAGA. As Trump stated ‘I love the uneducated’.

No i dont think he has mid stage dementia either
I dont think
Biden did whilst in office either
I think there maybe some natural cognitive decline in both men but they are in their 80s so not that uncoommon .

AuntieBiotics · 20/07/2026 22:09

But I dont see why he couldn't be sundowning?

Because if he were in mid to late stage dementia it would be BLINDINGLY obvious. The man is 80 and may well have some form of cognitive decline and health issues as he is getting older. But the middle stage of dementia is associated with sundowning, not so much the early stages, and other symptoms are hallucinations, difficulty dressing yourself, paranoia and delusions. You can't hide that stage of cognitive decline.

FinchiePink · 20/07/2026 22:11

I can't comment on his physical health other than to say he's clearly very overweight - but then this is America, that's reasonably par for the course.

That being said, you only have to listen to him speak ramble for two minutes or less before it's extremely clear he's no longer quite compos mentis.

He can't follow a chain of thought at all and is extremely emotional, he has no control.

I think the latest one is threatening the Canadians for polluting his air, with wildfires...

Not the words or thoughts of a sane man.

Okay fair enough - not wanting to contradict people's lived experiences here x

Perhaps his behavior is another sign of dementia though - its obvious that theres something going on and his mental state is not what it was a short while ago

The fact that he needs to be led around - and him standing in front of Spain as they lift their trophy and having to be pulled away

Thats vastly different to the arrogant man who stood incorrectly next to the late Queen - this man isnt mentally there

On what basis is his health poor?

Is this just wishful thinking?

It's very, very obvious. He looks bloated and terrible, he is obviously suffering from fluid retention which means amongst other matters that his heart and kidneys aren't functioning well. He is also very obviously sliding further and further into dementia, as demonstrated by virtually everything he does and says and the fact that he is having increasingly frequent cognitive checkups. He is having increasing problems with basic co-ordination, as seen at things like medal awards ceremonies.

I think he'll be around as long as Republicans find it politically expedient to keep him around, or until some doctor with principles is no longer prepared to go along with the fiction that he is fit for office and refuses to certify that he is, at which point I assume there is a process for Vance to take over.

whoremembers · 20/07/2026 22:48

What are YOUR qualifications? Estemiccrisis is a dementia care specialist, so I would rather believe him

I hope he lives, long enough to finally face some reprecussions for his crimes. Death is too good for him. I want to see him humiliated and broken like he broke those girls.

Such a tough choice in what to hope for.

Him dying tomorrow has the obvious benefits of him being dead but if i thought the Dems had a half a testicle between them then the prospect of him actually getting comeuppance would be brilliant.

But seeing as they did fuck all over him trying to stage coup I'll take seeing a glorious update on my phone when i wake up tomorrow if anyone is offering
