Never really featured contestants who were significantly overweight or obese?

I mean, they seemed to love all the smugly polyamorous twenty somethings, but as for fatties - no dice!

I caught an episode the other night which featured a woman who said she like dad bods, but none of the blokes were much above average weight.

(As an aside, she cringingly went on about a man with "cake around his tum tum". Jeez, speaking as a fat bloke I'd rather be despised than patronised!)

…no public hair either. Having (natural) pubic hair seemed to be treated like some sort of a kink.

Been a while since I’ve seen it, I think I’ve seen several overweight people but not obese. Just thinking how ‘I’ve been on naked attraction’ would make a fabulous AMA, I am very curious what would make someone do this, and how much they are told to say certain things etc. If anyone is reading!!

They definitely have had obese participants. They never get picked though.

Anytime I've seen it (whilst desperately searching for the TV remote) it's had fat people on it.

The thing about obese people is, that most of us aren't that keen on getting our bodies out in public.

Not all of us admittedly, personally I subscribe to the Greg Davies school of thought where I believe I'm absolutely glorious despite the massive fucking beer belly.

But I imagine the cross section of people who are both obese, and willing to get their willy or fanny out on national TV is probably very very small.

I always thought Naked Attraction was mainly a platform for people to show off their tattoos and piercings.

Did you know the contestants received no money for appearing on it? Just the cover of the Travelodge, train and a meal and few drinks (limited to 3 I think and only at the venue the production company decided)

Definitely have seen obese people on that show. Peculiar programme, really, though.

It’s a game show. Contestants don’t get paid for any kind of a game show, whether it’s Naked Attraction or Mastermind or The Great British Bake-off.

As for why there aren’t many obese contestants - I’m guessing there are fewer obese people willing to apply to take part.

A ‘dad bod’, by the way, doesn’t mean obese or even necessarily overweight. It just means an average bloke who doesn’t have a lean, muscular gym-fanatic physique. A dad bod is meant to be average, not obese.

I am aware of that, however it’s a game show where the stakes are fairly high with little reward- ie, you’re getting your bits out on national television for all to see and the ‘prize’ is just a date and a night in a budget hotel. You’d think to attract enough people to want to do that, there’d be a financial incentive, and I was surprised when I found out there wasn’t.

Exhibitionists already have their reward via being able to expose themselves on national TV.

Could you imagine just popping to the paper shop and catching up with a neighbour knowing they've seen you completely stark bollock naked the night before on TV? And not only that, your entire family and friends have too?

I honestly don't get the mindset where anyone would want to go on that show!

I've never watched a full episode, but whenever I've flicked over and it's been on, I've always thought everyone looks like they could do with a good wash.

I would say it's the absolute reverse of what you've just said. I am below average weight but above where most of us would like to be. Whenever I watch it, it always amazes me how people fatter than me have the guts to go on it.

I dont think it is anything to do with bravery or having the guts to go on, but exhibitionism and desperate for any attention.

How come lots of episodes aren't on the C4 site?

I watched a bit of it once, and there was a young woman who said her big reveal was that she was disabled.
