Never really featured contestants who were significantly overweight or obese?

I mean, they seemed to love all the smugly polyamorous twenty somethings, but as for fatties - no dice!

I caught an episode the other night which featured a woman who said she like dad bods, but none of the blokes were much above average weight.

(As an aside, she cringingly went on about a man with "cake around his tum tum". Jeez, speaking as a fat bloke I'd rather be despised than patronised!)

It's not an exercise in diversity nor body positivity, it's the absolute opposite.

It's reducing somebody to the sum total of their exposed body parts.

Like what the world really needs is more gratuitous nudity in a world where only 60% of British adults are considered sexually active and celibacy (and impotence) is rife in young people.

The entire thing seems plain gross from the curious squiz I had at it, back when it was first airing, and the glimpses here and there when changing the channel. Just all exhibitionists and attention seekers, who are clearly allergic to any pubic hair whatsoever (unless it's waxed into an unnatural shape).

I'm surprised it's still going, but I suppose it's a good way for people to advertise on (inter)national telly that they're up for pretty much anything!

Absolutely there have been obese people on it. I've seen every size from anorexic thin to dangerously overweight.

One of my daughter’s friends went on it. I was fascinated by the mentality at the time and watched several episodes.
My daughter has always been very comfortable getting naked with her friends but she said she would never go on the show.

If you were in a 'professional' occupation it would scupper your career good and proper!

And doing the school run with your DC or grandchildren.

If you're talking about overweight and obese people, you'll see by reading the thread that there are absolutely loads of them on the show?

Bloody hell! I think they’re ALL overweight. It’s very rare you get a slim, toned woman.

I’m amazed how many women in their 20s go on there who are really overweight. All have wobbly tummies, most have tattoos, a large number have their nipples pierced, most have bald Fannie’s and some have rashes around their bikini lines from shaving or bruises and rashes. It definitely shows the human body in its most raw form. Turn over to Love Island and they’re all gorgeous.

That’s exactly what I think! I would say the vast majority of contestants are overweight. I always say to my DH ‘We look better than them and we’re 20 years older’.

They all look like what I imagine the queue at an std clinic consists of. I wouldn’t want to sit on any of their sofas. All unsavoury swingers.

Good to know they’ve been OK. The obese women I’ve spoken to who put themselves out there are influencers are inundated by vile comments and messages. So I assumed contestants would get the same.
