Chocolate ice cream

I hate chocolate ice cream but it always seems to be the main option in restaurants. My DH thinks I'm the only one who doesn't like it. Btw this is just a little bit of fun before you all come at me.

I'm a real chocolate lover but hate chocolate ice cream. Horrible stuff

I loathe it. I’ve never eaten any that actually tastes of chocolate. It’s a sweet, synthetic taste.

Yeah not my fave. In fact I’d never order ice cream in a restaurant anyway. Give me nice crème brûlée or a panna cotta.

What I call cocoa ice cream is vile. Powder suspended in vanilla ice cream. Rubbish.

Proper bitter dark chocolate ice cream made with eggs and absolutely creamy and layered with chocolate flavour? Divine.

It's never real chocolate is it? It must be made with powdered stuff and its tastes synthetic. That said I am not a fan of chocolate in general - so maybe I should absent myself from the conversation altogether!

I like it if it’s decent quality ice cream like the stuff sold in Lidl or local small businesses.

Definitely not if it’s made by Walls.

I’ve had an amazing dark chocolate sorbet before but, in general, it’s not my favourite

I'm with you, i hate any type of chocolate dessert, cake, mousse, ice cream etc. I only like chocolate in a bar form.

I like chocolate but it's not my favourite would much rather have a strawberry, toffee or good old vanilla.

Me too! Chocolate cake is always dry. Chocolate ice-cream doesn't taste of chocolate. I don't like Bourbon biscuits either, they're the same, they don't taste like chocolate.

I love it, it's my second favourite ice cream after mint choc chip.

I can’t bear it.

I don’t go for chocolate at a gelateria, I pick vanilla, raspberry ripple, pistachio and maybe mint. My husband will only choose vanilla. I love chocolate as much as the next person but I’m not keen on Nutella, chocolate fondant puddings or other heavy chocolate desserts.

Used to buy this in a tub in the 50s - Neapolitan ice cream. Delicious! Proper chocolate/vanilla/strawberry flavours, yum!

LOVE chocolate itself, eat it every day.

I love it. Can't beat a nice simple pudding of one scoop of vanilla, one scoop of strawberry and one scoop of chocolate. Wafer optional. Has to be good ice cream, though.

I love it. I make this fantastic one from BBC good food which is very easy if you like the idea of chocolate ice cream but don’t think bought stuff is chocolatey enough.
