DH didn't shout me that football had restarted?

DH doesn't have an interest in football but I always watch the world cup.

Obviously just went into extra time and he asks me to make him a cup of tea.

I'm in kitchen doing some bits, I don't watch fb often so I thought there would be quite a break before it restarted.

Getting milk out and hear DH shout 'get in there lad' and run into living room to see game has been on a couple of mins and England have scored.

AIBU to be really fucking annoyed that i missed it because he didn't let me know it had come back on.

He said he was 'hardly watching it' WTF does that even mean? I heard him celebrate.

Well it doesn’t sound like either of you are all that bothered about football so not the end of the world. Watch the replay.

ListenLinda · Yesterday 00:25

Missing the point here but why couldnt he make his own cup of tea?

Weirdwonderfully · Yesterday 00:26

You’re a grown adult you can remember you are watching and check back and also listen out

PollyBell · Yesterday 00:27

Don't you have clock? No idea why this is on him but this is mn there will be cries of divorce him how can he disrespect you like this

randomchap · Yesterday 00:27

Why are you making him a cup of tea?

If he's not that interested then he should be on tea duty

Pineapplewhip · Yesterday 00:27

If you love football so much why are you on MN instesd of watching it?

RCMN26 · Yesterday 00:28

Eh? If you were that bothered the correct answer would have been ‘make your own brew I’m watching the game’ surely?

MrsPapillon · Yesterday 00:28

Same here. Nipped up to put my pyjamas on and heard him roar. Flew down the stairs and berated him for not calling me back down sooner.

Chicaontour · Yesterday 00:31

And yet you are on Mumsnet right now ..

whoremembers · Yesterday 00:31

Leave him, you deserve better xx

He’s a grown adult and can make tea.

BennyHenny · Yesterday 00:35

Can’t be that much of a football fan if you don’t know there’s never much of a gap from normal time to extra time 😂

RoseOliviaAu · Yesterday 00:38

I think you’re overreacting tbh. Why would he know he needed to call you back in? Maybe he assumes you know already because you’re the football watcher

MNLurker1345 · Yesterday 00:41

We are watching it but have recorded it also. Rewind!

Mumtobabyhavoc · Yesterday 00:46

Why do you have to make him tea?

Bristolandlazy · Yesterday 01:02

These stupid fake posts make me despair

CurdinHenry · Yesterday 01:05

Is he psychic? Both our goals came out of nowhere, how exactly should he have known to call you down sooner?

pimplebum · Yesterday 01:05

How drunk / old are you ?

why are you making tea if w… lost interest

suki1964 · Yesterday 01:07

TBH, I think you need to give your head a wobble if this is what's worrying you so much, that you have taken your eyes off the ball to post

MyLimeGuide · Yesterday 01:10

Why did you have to go and make him tea? Does he control you? Or did you just really want to make him tea?? Either way its your choice to do this, so YABU to moan about this situation

Itsalittlebitwarm · Yesterday 01:11

You drink tea while watching the world cup? I would like to be more like you. Xxx

somanychristmaslights · Yesterday 01:13

You’re a grown adult FFS. Tell him to make his own drink.

AgingLikeGazpacho · Yesterday 01:14

I would also be pissed off, OP. I think it's basic courtesy if you're watching something together to give a heads up when it's back on after commercials etc. That was a beautiful goal too that you missed - hopefully you'll witness similar in the semi finals! 🦁🦁🦁

Serious question - why not? Do they literally go straight into it?
