Can I withdraw my resignation after immediately regretting leaving my job?

I was sure about leaving my job for another and handed in my notice. As soon as I did it, I felt regret and wanted the old job back because I realised how good it was. I have asked by email if I can withdraw my resignation. I was told my my manager there is nothing I can do apart from reapplying. I've sent emails to other parts of the company including HR who have opened an appeal.

Is there anything I can do?

Hi op I think that they have said no as you gave your reasons as potentially moving either way so they think it’s going to happen again if your employer thought you were going to stay they might have changed their mind also if an employer rates the employee they could easily overturn their decision. Give your new job a chance you never know your employer’s might ask you back especially if it has a high turnover of leavers.

Have you rescinded your resignation? Or just asked if you can? Did they acknowledge/ accept it?
Does your contract have a “Notice” clause re how you/they are meant to serve notices? If so did you follow it?

stay put and do your job would be my advice and see what they do.

rescind the notice and check your contract.Good luck if your really want to stay but beware as your boss will “f@ck” you in the end if they are annoyed.

If you are good at the job they'll have you back, provided you can convince them you won't drop them in the shit again.... you'll have to think of something to convince them
