Male manager leaving gift ideas

Please I’m really struggling to find some
Gifts for my male line manager. He’s in his 40’s. Made redundant. I’m getting a nice bottle of wine but need other things to add to the collection. Please help. He’s been so lovely to me.

How about a Daunt books subscription? They will send home a book every other month for a year for £100 all curated to his tastes. Really lovely, thoughtful gift and can tailor it to his personal taste.

Recent gifts for leavers - expensive bottle of rum - he was very into rum. A model-holding tool for someone who paints gaming figurines. Book of sugar-free jam recipes.

We did online collections and cards and i left the rest as cash/token they could use a code to access.

My colleagues are saying the only criteria is to make the gifts as embarrassing as possible so he has to carry it on the bus and when he opens it in front of everyone! Not weird embarrassing but like I think they mean cringe. Like massive bouquet of flowers, balloons. What else can I add?

What horrible work friends you have. This man has been made redundant and they want to further tease him?
