Preston Davey- his murderer has been given a whole life order.
AIBU to hope he has no opportunity to kill himself?
I hope he suffers death by 1000 cuts.
Im pleased for once that a sentence is appropriate for the crime.

I’m not sure how much of a punishment prison will actually be but I hope he suffers throughout it.
In my ideal world though I’d have it done with and he’d be dropped down a well and left there.

EdinLS · 18/06/2026 21:33

What’s the point of your thread? Are you really expecting anyone to come along and say they think it should be less?!

There are at least 3 or 4 other threads running about this - why couldn’t you contribute to one of those?

The situation is devastating and disgusting but this is turning into attention seeking, everyone having to have their two minutes about it.

Pistachiocake · 18/06/2026 21:38

People worry that it won't be. Remember how a lot of people kept arguing Myra Hindley should have been released? Right up to her death.

Lord Longford anyone...she repeatedly tried to use the location of the children's bodies to get released.

I used to be in favour of capital punishment but these days I am not so sure, this case has pushed me back into thinking it's needed

These idiots have put Gay adoption back years !!!!

If you bothered to look instead of being so nasty I started this at 12.56. Before the others. If there are 3 or 4 others running why come here just tobe nasty? Did it make you feel good about yourself?

Of course no one is going to be anything but relieved that a whole life order has been deemed appropriate.

GoneWithTHeWindJammers · 19/06/2026 00:10

Whether he serves 50 years or the rest of his natural life, that little boy isn't coming back.

Well, you’re a bit macabre yourself.

wishfulthinking25 · 19/06/2026 00:16

Yes I agree, I hope he suffers the most unimaginable stuff in prison. I actually hope he doesn’t die, for a very long time anyway, but suffers everyday. Disgusting vile so called human.

Very true, god rest his soul. But I hope the person that done such despicable things suffers every single day, for the rest of his meaningless life.

So what then? You hope he just goes to prison and that’s it? Lives in his cell happily? Reading about this case has honestly kept me up at night. That poor boy.

Not long enough

A baby was tortured, sexually abused and ultimately murdered by his adoptive parents but your top line is that “gay adoption has been put back years”? Are you alright?

I was surprised -but grimly pleased -that a whole life tariff had been given because they are so infrequent.
There are currently 74 prisoners with this sentence.
Plus, I have zero faith in the criminal justice system so that is why I was relived.
For once it felt like the judge got it bang on right.

Isn't karma a bitch? His birth mother abused and murdered someone, now she has to deal with this.

So whilst it's many years later, we can safely say that one person who did such despicable things will be suffering every day for the rest of her meaningless life.

Doesn't bring either poor victim back, but I'm not exactly crying many tears for the mother here.

What’s wrong with you? This thread is about the man who abused and murdered this baby, your comment makes it seem like it’s fine for the baby of a murderer to be abused and killed because ‘karma’

bronnibro · 19/06/2026 08:31

He'll be crying for his mum again, tbh that sickened me after what he put that little boy through, he wanted help and comfort! It's crazy to be think he was a teacher, proves you just know nobody really, well im sure he's going to be frightened every day and will surely be attacked and likely killed and I hope he does feel that pain and fear

If someone is talking about a murderer having to live in suffering for the rest of their lives, it's relevant because this case has resulted in just that thing.

No-one is suggesting the baby deserved to die. That's a fucking ridiculous take and your level of comprehension is clearly pathetic.

Agree. I don’t have any sympathy with the biological mother after reading what she did - the torture she inflicted on her victim was digusting, and the baby’s father was a racist thug. This wouldn’t have happened to her baby had she been a fit parent - but no doubt given her history, other bad things would have, poor child.

I have huge sympathy for the foster parents and obviously for the child himself and I am glad the perpetrator has a whole life order.

It is revolting to suggest he was tortured to death as karmic justice for his birth mother.

He was a person in his own right. Entirely innocent.

FionnulaTheCooler · 19/06/2026 16:48

Of course it's good that he will die behind bars. People like that have absolutely no place in society and should never be allowed freedom again. Shame both of them didn't get the same sentence.

I doubt if he’ll be very safe in prison judging by the recent cases of killings by fellow inmates and the hostility felt towards child murderers.
