Well, I presume that that something to do with keeping her job. Not a good look to the wider public to be screaming in the face of a baby, and allude to said baby as being a fascist. I suspect it had to be addressed as it was caught on camera. No getting out of that one, or pretending it was misrepresented.

A public apology was indeed the very least such a person could have done in this instance, and it was probably for her own interests.

No different to the arsehole who publicly bullied Jacob Rees-Mogg's kids to get at their dad. What kind, tolerant people these arseholes are.

Why did they choose to go to Brighton to stage their march? It is an overwhelmingly liberal city that would not be welcoming or supportive to those who travelled there to march.

Why not choose somewhere like Crawley, or Dover where they would have been welcomed and where people rank immigration much higher as a local issue?

Unless the whole point of the march was to provoke a reaction and generate drama and clicks?

To be fair, Brighton has been a place where people go for a fight since the days of Mods and Rockers. It's very difficult to tell the difference between Brighton before a riot and afterwards.

I have no idea about that. My idea is much better as the neighbourhoods in favour can be selected to be asylum welcome centres. Must be over half the country I'd say.

It looks like even with strong views on here the closest you’ll get to a yes is a feeble we already have one two miles away.

TheLandlordsAreFrowning · 14/06/2026 09:28

Yes. So a vote for anyone else but Reform is essentially the tick box being mooted by pp.

I see Farage has now said that foreign nationals living in social housing will be evicted and be given three months to find private accommodation or face being deported under a Reform UK government.

He really is a despicable bastard.

No, my idea keeps Farage and Reform out of the equation. Simply voting yes will give a very clear picture of all those who want the male asylum seekers and refugees to settle in their areas. No bullying tactics required.

Foreign nationals accounted for a quarter of sexual assault convictions on women last year, figures reveal

Data from the Ministry of Justice (MoJ), obtained by the the Centre for Migration Control think tank under freedom of information laws, has revealed that 26% of 1,453 sex assault convictions on women last year were foreign nationals.

Indian nationals accounted for the highest number in foreign national convictions in 2024, with 38.

Romanians nationals were second with 27 assault, joint with Polish nationals also on 27.

Pakistani nationals accounted for 20 sexual assault conviction while 19 Afghan nationals were convicted.

While accounting for 26% of sexual assault convictions last year, foreign nationals make up 10.9% of the population.

But what do you want, housing men nearby to you or not?

They don't want it but they can't admit it. They want the warm fuzzy glow of feeling virtuous, while someone else has to deal the realities of our crazy asylum policies.

Northermcharn · 14/06/2026 09:39

Yes like the protestors. Maximum virtue signalling points, whilst doing nothing much and taking no risks whatsoever. Pathetic, and transparent.

There are bullying tactics on this thread. Hounding people for a response to a fantasy tick box.

How is it a hard question? You’ve advocated for accepting the housing, and been vocal against those who haven’t.

Brighton are keen, some posters are happy about that @mrshoho asks directly a simple yes or no.

Northermcharn · 14/06/2026 09:44

A friend of mine lives in Brighton. He says the actual locals have asked their MPs to campaign for students to have to vote in their home areas, not where their university is. They got fcked over with the (apparently) terrible Green council and have learnt their lesson.

Walkyrie · 14/06/2026 09:25

I think that’s Reform policy now 😬

I want net zero immigration, and for the migrants admitted to have clean criminal records from dependable countries and no history of being raised in an extremely misogynistic and violent community. I don’t see why this is remotely controversial.

You’d think that a proposal to block (and deport) all would be immigrants that intend to rape, behead, stab, ban homosexuality or otherwise damage our society wouldn’t be too big an ask would you? Apparently it is for many on this thread.

The suicidal empathy for the sort of men damaged by civil war, whose history will make it extremely difficult for them to function in a peaceful society being demonstrated by people in this thread.

I recently had a conversation with some nice people from Brighton wanting to get away from these extreme virtue signallers who turn nasty when their ideologies are challenged.

Brighton may end up being an enclave with some serious conflicts- the Gays for Gaza groups being in serious opposition to the immigrants from Muslim countries who are hard line anti gay for example.

In the top of extreme (and dangerous) virtue signallers, DH and I heard on the radio Zack Polanski’s declaration that the sentences for recently convicted terrorist Palestine Action group were too harsh.

Jesus christ, woman! Yes, I'll tick yes. Does that satisfy you? My council is actually proposing to repurpose a building around the corner from me to house asylum seekers who have been given leave to remain. I am fine with that.

It looks like the 'fascists' were just women who don't think men can become women, and the 'anti racists' were a bunch of violent masked men?

Is this correct? Ive not seen any news about it.

Edited

Have you listened to the programme?

Naunet · 14/06/2026 09:53

For those saying its just a minority of immigrant men that abuse women, ok, so you're saying youre happy to sacrifice a minority of British women and girls to these men, so you can pat yourselves on the back for letting in all the other men, got it.

So what is the number? How many women and girls are you happy to sacrifice? What number would be too high? Or will you always prioritise forign men over British women and girls?

Hasn’t Reform already promised to only place future asylum accommodation in areas that do not elect a Reform MP?

Ha. Yes they did. And what a stupid comment that was. Because surely the whole point of them is there would be no need for 'future asylum accommodation'.
In one statement they admit they won't be able to solve it either, and that asylum seekers are simply their weapon to gain support under false pretences.
