Stickers on badly parked cars?

I live in beautiful village by the sea which gets lots of visitors on sunny days. We have loads of parking but invariably people will try and park as close to the shop as possible.

This might mean driving up on to grass and leaving their car there while they go in to the shop 'for just a minute '. We are ALL going in to the shop for 'just a minute' but that doesn't mean we can park in a way that obstructs others or damages grass and flowers.

Some people literally just stop in the lane of traffic outside the shop and go in. Leaving everyone behind them to wait for a break in traffic coming from the other direction to get around them.

I don't think there is any way to really stop the behaviour but I am strongly considering putting stickers on the driver's window saying that they parked badly. A quick Google tells me such stickers exist.

Has anyone done this? Any particular ones you'd recommend?

All sounds a bit Kareny to me.
Ah, calling out fellow women for being Karens. You can't have been on mn long, as it goes down as well as a cup of cold sick here.

Weeellokthen · 16/06/2026 18:50

Go for it op. Absolutely sick of people who think they are more important than the rest of us.

YANBU. People can get sniffy about this behaviour and call it vigilante-ism but at the end of the day, if we all held each other to higher standards and it was socially unacceptable to be a complete selfish twat, people wouldn't be such inonsiderate idiots. I'd rather join the sticker wanker club than the parking wanker club tbh!

If we held each other to higher standards, no-one would be putting stickers on cars. Being annoyed by someone’s inconsiderate parking does not give you the right to punish them.

Placing a large, difficult-to-remove sticker intended to shame or inconvenience the driver is vigilantism and it’s just not what decent, rational people do.

As well as hard-to-get-off stickers on the windows of cars etc, a large "Call me for hot gay sex" slogan across the tailgate will buck up many a mans parking performance every quickly.

Good luck OP, I used to live at flats where there were often parking wars.

A local school near us has parking problems at home time and there are frequently reports of threats and even fights over parking, at times the Police have had to come, its ridiculous.

Bad parkers are so ignorant.

Tollington · 16/06/2026 19:00

There’s a Facebook page where the guy sticks You’ve Parked Like A Wanker stickers on cars and films drivers trying to remove them. It’s pretty funny tbf. I can’t stand people that park a car in the middle of two bays

What do you mean by this?

It means (hopefully) that the poster is a man.

AlwaysPerplexed · 16/06/2026 19:01

I applaud your use of stickers and would encourage you to use Superglue or Gorilla Glue.

AlmostAJillSandwich · 16/06/2026 19:02

My dad used to do this with disabled bays with no card out, "not disabled, just a see you next tuesday"

Get some parking wanker stickers. Bloody brilliant and soooooo hard to peel off!!

parking wankers

Parking Wankers

Bad Parkers - they're everywhere. Get your own back, whether it's your idiot neighbour who parks outside your house every day, your idiot work colleague who takes up too many spaces, or a random person you spot on the fly. Slap them with a Parking Wank...

ScupperedbytheSea · 16/06/2026 19:05

This is the sort of petty shit I would absolutely do myself.

Big fuck off 'parking wanker' sticker. Or just carry a can of shaving foam and do a massive cock across the windscreen.

Danikm151 · 16/06/2026 19:14

I’d run out of stickers if I had some. Round my area there are 4 cars to one small terraced house. Parking is a nightmare and crossing the road safely at a dipped kerb is impossible. Walking on the pavement is an obstacle course too!

There’s a bay outside our local shops (I volunteer in one) that takes five cars. Usually there are four, because people don’t park right to the end of the bay, or they sit in the middle of a space big enough for two. Prats.

WhatHappenedToYourFurnitureCuz · 16/06/2026 19:23

The You Park Like A Cunt ones are probably the most effective. Because then the recipient will likely be checking the website to see if their parking does indeed appear.

Bawbagg · 16/06/2026 20:40

Seems like a lot of effort for something that doesn't harm you.

Sausagenbacon · 16/06/2026 20:48

No effort whatsover. And yes, someone parking across the pavements i walk on does effect me, let alone people with buggies or in wheelchairs.
