AIBU to tell DH after BiL frightened me at the window?

I’d just gone into the kitchen to make a coffee and saw a blokes face squashed up against the glass of the kitchen window with all his teeth exposed. I screamed instinctively and threw my mug at the window. He pulled away and I realised it was BiL who was now laughing his head off. I went out and started shouting at him which he responded to by pulling stupid faces at me. I told him to fuck off and I called my sister to tell her what he’d done to which she said he was a prick but asked me not to tell DH as she doesn’t want an atmosphere on holiday!

AIBU to think I should tell him what dickhead has done now??

That would have scared me too! What a nasty man he is. I wouldn’t keep this quiet.

mumofoneAloneandwell · Yesterday 14:30

😄 honestly yabu to be upset about it now, just get your own back!

BrickProblems · Yesterday 14:32

Any man who frightens a woman on purpose is a prick.

Ponoka7 · Yesterday 14:34

What holiday are you due to go on? I'd be sharing what happened. Shy was he at your's?

BombayMixIsTheBestMix · Yesterday 14:35

What went wrong that he didn’t grow out of that sort of nonsense around age 8? I had an uncle like this but it was the result of a traumatic head injury.

ColdAsAWitches · Yesterday 14:37

Tell him or don't tell him, but with all the issues you have with your sister, there's going to be a fucked up holiday regardless!

Kuga26 · Yesterday 15:07

Oh stop it. It scared you yes, but nothing malicious in it. I think most people would be tempted to do the same if the opportunity arose. Chill out!

PatNoodle · Yesterday 15:10

Why are you even going on holiday with your sister that you hate and have started multiple threads slagging her off

Hope there are no crows where they’re going 😂

Can’t live with, can’t live without

SerendipityCat · Yesterday 15:14

Set your crows on him next time.

Why will it cause an atmosphere on holiday?

They'll all be too busy arguing about crows, bathrooms and bacon sandwiches anyway

PinkyFlamingo · Yesterday 15:18

Obviously there is a big back story I'm missing! 😂

Oh is this the crow lady? Never mind then 😂

AnAlpacaForChristmasPleaseSanta · Yesterday 15:27

Just leave your bike in his hallway indefinitely OP, that'll teach him!

Idontjetwashthefucker · Yesterday 15:47

Do you ever get bored of making shit up?

FeliciaFancybottom · Yesterday 15:55

Blow out his birthday candles, hit him with a keyboard and set a crow on him; he won't scare you again!

Oh right. Background to this then. 👍

Nomorecoconutboosts · Yesterday 17:01

Is this the situation where op insisted on sole use of a toilet in an ensuite that even her dp was not permitted to use? Then decided she didn’t fancy walking all the way to her private loo if she felt the corridor was spooky so also wanted instant access to the loo that 3 other adults were sharing?

Childish prank and misjudged audience tell the BIL at the time and move on
No need to go making an enormous drama

Oh wait, not this one?! And also the nephew's birthday candles?

I need to remember OPs name and ignore posts in future!

whippersnapper55 · Yesterday 19:47

You sound a little dramatic! That's the sort of thing my BIL would do and once I realised it was him, I would have laughed and called him a dickhead 🤣

Most people would be tempted to scare a friend if they could? I can't think of anyone who would.
