How needy is your dishwasher?

Mine seems to demand salt and rinse aid weekly?
I also have to regularly (like more than once a week) clean the arms and the filter.
It still regularly punishes me by not properly cleaning things but ‘burning’ on the mess so it then needs scrubbing. Or by not draining properly so I have to dig around in the water to get the filter etc.
we do scrape the plates etc before putting them in but dont rinse them. Is this where we’re going wrong?

Mine wants rinse aid about every 4 - 6 weeks. Usually use the dishwasher once a day sometimes twice. It doesn’t need salt as I have a water softener installed. It’s a Miele. It doesn’t occasionally say check filters (maybe once a month) but I rarely bother and it doesn’t say it next time.

And now the fucker has decided to trip the electricity in the whole house.

You need to talk lovingly to it

Sod that. I’m calling its bluff and washing up by hand. We’ll see who caves first

My dishwasher is harder to look after than a toddler. Constant whining about wanting more salt and rinse aid even when it’s just been fed .
