Actually 45% of religious hate crimes were against Muslims. 29% were against Jews.
However the Muslim population is 14 times the size of the Jewish one therefore simple maths shows the jewish community is NINE times more likely ro suffer a hate attack than the Muslim one.

Talking about the specific targeting and vulnerability of a small minority is totally fine.

Northernrunnerwife · 07/05/2026 19:20

The fact the GP are, quite rightly, anti-Israel is about the only thing in their favour. The fact they are led by a scheming liar is a bit more problematic.

balabusta · 07/05/2026 19:20

OpheliaWasntMad · 07/05/2026 19:17

Jewish people receive EIGHT times as many attacks as the Muslim community ( per head of population)
So a Jewish person is 8 times as likely to be a victim of antisemitism as a Muslim is to be a victim of Islamaphobia .

Both are wrong- but you are misrepresenting the scale of antisemitism

Edited

I worked it out as nine! But eight or nine, still shocking

The one gaslighting is the one mocking the fears of Jews due to the rising antisemitism and the shocking antisemitic statements of green party candidates. And I say this as someone who was a member of the green party in the 1990s

The actual anti-Semitic candidates were dropped as soon it was known, exactly as should be.
Meanwhile we have had a lead Tory sponsor say that Diane Abbott makes him want to "shoot all black women". An MP say Muslim women in niqab look like "letter boxes" and then go on to become PM. The same illustrious person in 2002 referred to black people as "pickaninnies with watermelon smiles"

This is a genocide that our elected government in the UK is complicit in, in the opinion of Israeli NGO B'Tselem, MSF and the UN. You know the only other times MSF broke neutrality? Bosnia, the Congo and Rwanda. That's right, other genocides.

You know the mentally unwell man who stabbed 2 in Golders Green - when he escaped the psychiatric facility he was held in, he first attacked a Muslim man. But you won't hear that on the news for some reason.

You've determined genocide but the British govt determined differently.

Was that muslim man attacked just for being Muslim?

The 'actual' ones. As opposed to the antisemtici lite ones?
Nope, they are still standjng

All racism is equally unacceptable, including anti-Semitism. Show me numerical evidence that anti-Semitism is worse than the hate crimes against other UK minorities.
Oh and bear in mind, some of the "hate crimes" reported by certain malign groups such as Lawyers for Israel, include an art exhibition in the UK showing Gazan children's drawings of the genocide, and a London hospital displaying drawings by Palestinian children.

Again I repeat, Maccabi Tel Aviv football club supporters pose a much greater risk to other Jews, statistically, than any mainstream UK group.

I didn't determine genocide. Israeli NGOs B'Tselem and Physicians for Human Rights Israel did. The UN, MSF, Amnesty and Human Rights Watch EACH independently determined it.
The British government side step the question and David Cameron threatened to defund the International Criminal Court if they issued warrants for Netanyahu and his gang. Such innocent behaviour.
The British government of course must be right ...just like it was right about hanging Nelson Mandela, or about the Suez crisis, or about the coup in Iran in the 50's so BP could maintain control of the oil wealth. Look it up.

When it comes to drawings and “artwork” it depends what is depicted - for example Matthew Collings’ exhibition in Margate….

“Matthew Collings has described the drawings for his touring “Genocide” exhibition as “a window into the Zionist lobbies connection to our government, mainstream media and the art world. The images depict individuals implicated in the genocide in Gaza.”
Collings’ drawings included images of various UK politicians, journalists and people in the art world, whom he accused of complicity in “genocide”.
One drawing shows a Jewish owner of Sotheby’s eating a baby, next to the words, “Hey look I’m selling a fantastic painting, while eating a baby alive”. Another shows people with blood coming out of their hands and mouths, and Swastikas and Stars of David or Israeli flags are scattered around the drawing. Many of the drawings show Jews surrounded by skulls.”

Art For a Free Palestine on Instagram: "We're going on tour! @matthew.collings_ Drawings Against Genocide will be exhibited @deltahousestudios in May!  These drawings are a window into the Zionist lobby's connection to our government, mainstream media...

No I think you need to get over yourself.
You need to take a note of your own words and mind your own business about what concerns others.
As is often the said if you don’t like something you can scroll by…..or are you trying to silence Jewish people.

Asked and answered on a previous thread re the Muslim man (the attackers friend of 20 years ) who he stabbed first in a domestic incident.
The Muslim victim was seen by many posters on various news sites and social media.
Interesting that you are downplaying the antisemitic attack that the attacker travelled several miles to and was seen walking past none Jewish people in the street and attacking two clearly identifiable Jewish people. Yes let’s not mention the religious motive and just push for the “poor mentally unwell man.”
Your agenda on this and other posts shines bright like a diamond.
What genocide, the genocide the surrounding countries are trying to commit on Israel.Yes terrible isn’t it.
But you won’t acknowledge that.
Racism is such a nasty trait.

Exactly. Muslims stab people all the time (as do non Muslims, just a fact that there's knife crime). But the headline here is that this man travelled to a Jewish area in order to specifically target and attack visibly Jew people. You see him walk past people not obviously jewish. This was not an uncontrolled rampage. Yet the antisemites are intent on making it sound like it was and it was just chance that he travelled across london to one of the most jewish neighbourhoods and stabbed visibly jewish men. Why?

And even if it turns out to be true that israel committed genocide in Gaza, that has nothing to do with British Jews.

However, part and parcel of the antisemitism problem- and both a cause and consequence - is the demonisation of Israel and Israelis (and then often by association, all Jews too) and focus on israel/palestine as some uniquely moral cause and noble fight of good against evil in a way that you don't see in any other conflict.

Of course British govt has made mistakes, duh. So has the UN and every organization.
My point is
a) there isnt consensus
b).even if there were genocide, it STILL doesn't justify the antisemitism of green party candidates and
c) genocides happen frequently unfortunately - Rohingya genocide by Myanmar buddhists, Sudan genocide by uae supported RSF, DRC, Nigeria to name a few ongoing - but somehow israel/palestine is presented as unique and the only cause to focus on. Why? Its certainly not for humanitarian reasons....

Some of your fellow Green supporters-

Tina Ion a Newcastle Green candidate who runs an account called The Real Anne Frank which refers to “Jewish Nazis” and mocks Jews

Sabine Maurer - a Clapham candidate who posted a man with a placard saying “ramming a synagogue isn’t antisemitism it’s revenge”

Saiqa Ali whoposted pictures of Hamas fighters with headline “Resistance is Freedom”

Never mind the comments from their leader Polanski and Mothin Ali the deputy leader ….

Saiqa Ali was elected. Over a thousand people thought she was the best person for the job despite supporting a terrorist organisation. So was Mohammed Suleman. Luckily Tina "Thereal.anne.frank" Ion didn't but a few hundred people still voted for her.
