Would you go to Turkey this Summer?

We are looking to book a holiday this July/Aug. We usually stay in Europe and go to one of the Greek Islands/Majorca.

Looking at Turkey it’s very cheap for an all inclusive. As much as half the price of a similar hotel in Greece/Spain. Obviously we’d be going to somewhere like Boston/Antalya.

Would you go? My concerns are the current situation with the war, and also the extreme heat.

Yanbu - it’s a brilliant place
Yabu - I wouldn’t go

It sounds like besides anything else, it will be too hot for us.

Can anyone recommend a good all inclusive though. Might consider going a different time of year.

I am worried about the fuel shortages, but if it’s a package holiday I’m presuming we’d be refunded.

Last few years we've been long haul as it's cheaper than two weeks all inclusive in Spain.

Last year was Mauritius for about £8k for two bed apartment for 4 adults. 11 nts
Year before was Cape Verde (probably wouldn't go back) for £6.5k for 10 nts.

Dont limit yourself to the Med. Although Mauritius will be difficult this year. Mexico looks reasonable but not got there yet.

I've travelled all over.. over 36 Countries .. Turkey once and wouldn't ever go back..no matter the situation.. worst country I've ever been to.
No one follows road safety.. traffic lights might as well not be there.. we saw 3 fatal road accidents in one week.
The food is awful.
The people in shops etc are rude.
Restaurant owners and servers are abrupt..
Just not for me.

I noticed that the Grand Hyatt warterpark resort in Dubai is only 109£ per night....it's normally like £700 per night and I have to admit I am tempted. Presumably that's due to the war? I'm a bit of a nutter though so don't take advice from me.
