There’s a woman in Instagram called Lacey Tucker who is in the process of outlining her marriage/upcoming divorce story.

Basically met a bloke on Bumble who turned out to be a liar/conman/narcissist. He conned her out of every penny she had, threatened to take her children away…

Whats really shocked me is the victim blaming in the comments. From women 😮

Hooefully he’ll end up being named and shamed. Shes been admirably discreet about his identity so far. It’s pretty easy to find out who his mother is tbh so I don’t expect it’ll be long so hopefully other women will be al warned.

exactly. We all make poor decisions as we transition through life. What’s the big problem? That she was less than perfect?

Yes we all make poor decisions but hers seem to have been on a spectacular scale.

I agree, and she was chasing a lifestyle. And although all her money is gone, she did have the lifestyle for a few years, and it does cost money.

Itsmetheflamingo · 24/04/2026 13:06

I honestly don’t think it’s spectacular. I think it’s pretty pedestrian, as a situation

I think the specularly bad decision was to transfer her inheritance into his sole account, knowing he had been in debt before. A joint one would have made sense but she instantly lost all visibility of it.

The rest is all common. Having a second child when on shaky ground after the first, being in a position where she couldn't work (due to Visa but even if in the UK I reckon he would have refused to help pay for nursery), letting him take out leases and debts in her name.

Tbh I can’t blame people for pointing outs she’s stupid… I’m only halfway through but he’s already been outed as having a secret family that he swore he didn’t have, lost her entire inheritance and proceeds of her flat sale, hidden loads of debts… and she’s STILL saying things like “so we carried on having marriage counselling, then we had a really nice family day out…” There’s just no helping some people

This. I real hate the term victim blaming when used in this context. If someone has made repeated terrible decisions then they shouldn't expect immediate and unquestioning sympathy for the issues that have come about through those terrible decisions. There are threads like this on MN on a daily basis. It isn't victim blaming to point out maybe women should stop having kids with the shitty men that cause all their problems

Edit - it didn't show what post I was quoting but it was about her attending counselling etc after she'd already been scammed

And now she’s using this experience to do exactly what she claims to have had done to her. I.e. exploit the gullible.

Likely she let this man exploit her, and then when she finally got out she thought that this would be a perfect opportunity for her to cash in. So out comes the gofundme, the insta, the trend, and bring on the bleeding hearts who are idiotic enough to donate to her coffers.

Anyone who gives to a stranger’s gofundme is a gullible idiot.

Victim my arse.

She’s no more a victim than the stupid women on the tinder swindler. She was addicted to the lifestyle in the same way they were. And now that it’s gone she’s decided to buy it back.

Look out for her on imaceleb or similar in the hopefully distant future.

She didn’t leave him in the US, they all went to Mexico to avoid his arrest, then he agreed they could all return to the uk (he had to pay for tickets she didn’t have access to funds)

They did return to the uk, but took flights to Paris then planned to drive back to England. Things unravelled in France on the second part of the journey which is what led to them separating.
