To be hooked and aghast at this story

There’s a woman in Instagram called Lacey Tucker who is in the process of outlining her marriage/upcoming divorce story.

Basically met a bloke on Bumble who turned out to be a liar/conman/narcissist. He conned her out of every penny she had, threatened to take her children away…

Whats really shocked me is the victim blaming in the comments. From women 😮

Hooefully he’ll end up being named and shamed. Shes been admirably discreet about his identity so far. It’s pretty easy to find out who his mother is tbh so I don’t expect it’ll be long so hopefully other women will be al warned.

Oh you have identified who he is? 🤯

How did you identify him? I’m pretty sure I found his mother in the news.

I identified his mother due to the information she provided on her Instagram. Then used his likely surname along with her details which took me to his full name from their wedding. It is him because obviously she appears on his SM. Nice to know that as an ex detective you never lose it 😂😂

I find the big mole on her chin quite distracting. I know that makes me a terrible person, but I'm just mentioning it.

He invested to start a company or something - she said 100k I think? And she went on a spousal visa. I think you can stay as long as the business is solvent.

longtompot · 18/04/2026 16:21

@BreezyMintHiker Ive not read the comments on her posts, but I am now on part 10 of her story after looking her up after reading your post about it.

Yes. This is why the money was always so outrageous, and so feast or famine, which sets a path of uncertainty and insecurity that’s can be hard to detach from.
He paid £100k for a visa you can get if you start a business in the US. He was a builder and started a construction company and it seems like it was objectively successful, but he was always spending more than he earnt.

BreezyMintHiker · 18/04/2026 17:02

Found him. Didn’t find wedding info but took a punt on a likely Christian name from a screenshot she posted on her Instagram. It’s definitely her in a picture on his Facebook.

Ooh.

My PMs are open……..

BreezyMintHiker · 18/04/2026 17:49

Lots of information about his shady dealings/being a conman. Once you’ve got his name his various dodgy companies are easily searchable. Bad reviews, owing people money etc.

As far as I can see everything she says checks out.

He's got a Linkedin with an employment history that matches too so I'm pretty sure it is legit.

What a lot of people don't realise is that the behaviour (not the California and Visa stuff but the spending, gaslighting, "I'll take your kids off you" stuff) is every other thread in relationships on here.

StudyinBlue · 18/04/2026 21:49

She’s missed out the 6th reason ‘ because I’m with an abusive arse and it’s the only way I can leave him and keep my children’ 😂

I think it also goes to show how fake SM is and her posts at tge time show nothing that is going on behind the scenes!

Megs83 · 23/04/2026 12:28

I have been hooked on this story today. Would be grateful if someone can PM me what they found out about the husband - so I can go down another rabbit hole.
So frightening!

Nicflowers82 · 23/04/2026 20:02

I have been following this too. I watched all the instalments in one go! After a PP said they’d managed to work out who the husband is, by a bit of internet sleuthing I did too. Via finding the mum, via finding an article about her crime that is mentioned in the stories.
I hope it all works out for her , she does come across well and likeable, and he appears to be a complete pathological liar . She did ignore lots of red flags but it’s easy for outsiders to point that out , and she really did just want a happy life and family.

PolkaDotPorridge · 23/04/2026 22:46

He looks creepy!

Jumpingthruhoops · 23/04/2026 22:54

I have been following this story too and I agree it is compelling. But, let's be honest, the guy was a walking red flag. Yet she seemed to get deeper and deeper involved. Many can't fathom why anyone would do this!

ThereAreOnlyShadesOfGrey · 23/04/2026 23:17

While it may well be true, anyone who starts a gofundme and tells their story on social media is a bit of a con artist and on the make in their own right so I find it hard to sympathise given the red flags were blatantly obvious, this isn’t a man who was charming and the abuse surfaced behind the scenes, it was all publicly visible including the mother in prison and the shady past, and now she’s standing to profit from it.

Oh and, “sisterhood” is a load of bollocks

I do agree and she now seems to be posting mummyinfluencer type reels. Yesterday she had a very dull story giving her son chocolate (are people really interested in crap like that?). In view of the background of her story publicly linking her children to it it seems unwise at best. Someone in the comments tried to point this out and she blithely said that he’d been on her TikTok story for the last year and it’s fine. Her naivety and poor decision making continues unabated.

KimberleyClark · 24/04/2026 07:55

BreezyMintHiker · 17/04/2026 16:06

She’s quite open that she is trying to get money from her story because he’s conned her out of thousands and thousands including her inheritance.

How could that happen without, at the very least, some poor decision making on her part?

I think it's a combination of factors. She admitted she was approaching her 30s and wanted a husband and children. Pretty much day one he was dangling the LA life - I'm not sure it would have lasted if he'd said his dream was to open a business in Scotland. I am massively sympathetic for all the times he took advantage of her when she was newly postpartum. But I'm really not into the "The UK is shit" smug social media users as she is painted by those Sun articles, so I can see why it gets people's backs up.

exactly. We all make poor decisions as we transition through life. What’s the big problem? That she was less than perfect?
