Dog walker wants cash in hand

Started using a new dog walker in January, as old one moved away. Today he messaged and asked if I can start paying cash. Ive been paying by bank transfer and always on time. AIBU to think no, you can be paid through the correct channels like everyone else. For the record he charges towards the higher rate for the area, so it's not like I'm getting a bargain.

Just a Chartered Tax Advisor of more than 30 years who is heartily sick of the terrible public services in the UK, and cannot abide the way we can’t have a conversation about increasing income tax to European levels so we can have European standards of public services, all because half of the population seems to think that we could just tweak tax laws and the money will come flooding in from ‘someone not me’. That person - ‘someone not me’ - does not exist!

I actually agree with you, and my point was that we shouldn’t let the “little people” tax dodgers off just because Amazon etc (legally, blah blah) don’t pay as much tax as (morally) they should.
