To use Wren kitchens…

The price is right, the designer is great, about to pay deposit! Anyone used them who has advice or experiences much appreciated, good or bad? Thank you!

Kitchen is nice. Own fitter, separate worktops.

BUT

Wrong pieces delivered, delivered late, wrong colours, different styles. Literally hours on the phone to customer services.

If you can live with the appalling customer service, go for it.

I would never get anything else of Wren ever again. The kitchen is great, but they were an absolute fucking nightmare to deal with.

frockandcrocs · 20/03/2026 19:45

We used Wren, I always get compliments on my kitchen (we’re still having work done and every single tradesperson that has come in the house has said they love it!). We used their fitters too, and they were great.

We had one unit that was ordered the wrong size, the fitter sorted that. We also had a damaged panel, which he ordered a replacement for, then phoned someone kicking off at them when the replacement also turned up damaged- it was annoying but we never actually had to deal with any of it ourselves.

I have heard some horror stories, but our experience was good.

ParadisePhantom · 20/03/2026 19:47

My Wren kitchen experience was positive. The kitchen has been in for nearly 7 years and is still in very good condition.
Like others I did use my own fitter. I also sourced my own sink and tap separately as I wanted a black sink and didn’t like the ones they carried.
I did have to get a replacement part for the integrated freezer but that turned up without a problem.

I had wren and used their fitter. He was fab, did extra bits (some rewiring, changes to plumbing) and kept to the time frame. It’s only two years old but it looks brand new and I still love it. My sister did the same last summer - wren kitchen inc the fitter. All went perfectly.

Thelongestcovid · 20/03/2026 19:55

My DH is a joiner by trade and really rates Wren kitchens in that price range, he says they are really straight forward to fit. I wonder if it depends on the quality of service at particular branches.

Iwouldratherbemuckingout · 20/03/2026 20:01

Mine is absolutely appalling - really shoddy quality. It’s been in 6 years and doors are falling apart though the fitter was appalling so that may have something to do with it!

Kippersbigfeet · 20/03/2026 20:07

We have a Wickes one. The fitter had worked for Wickes, Magnet and Wren. He now refuses to fit Wren kitchens as they are often warped, missing parts or damaged. He said the carcases are quite flimsy and definately don't stand up to family life.

Notmymarmosets · 20/03/2026 20:13

All good here. Used our own fitters. The design team were great. The freezer fell off the van and was dented, but replaced before the fitters actually needed it.

Theverylastone · 20/03/2026 20:19

We bought our Wren kitchen three years ago but had our own fitter to fit it.

We also organised separate quartz worktops, which were fitted by the supplier.

I love our kitchen and have had no problems. I would definitely buy from Wren again.

cadburyegg · 20/03/2026 20:35

My mum had a wren kitchen put in just before Christmas. It Is lovely and the fitter was really good. She did have to chase them to collect the rubbish but apart from that she was very happy.

Many companies have bad reviews and don’t forget people are more likely to leave a review if there is a problem.

icebearforpresident · 20/03/2026 20:39

My wren kitchen is just over 3 years old and I love it now as much as I did the day it arrived. There was a small issue with our fridge, we have an American style fridge-freezer and there was a supply issue which meant they couldn’t provide it until weeks after the kitchen was fitted. We were offered an alternative for the same price but it was black, which I didn’t like. One phone call and the fridge was refunded and I found the same fridge we had originally ordered for the same price from curry’s.

Used my own fitter as the kitchen was part of a bigger project but everything was fine with design and delivery. Wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

What about the carcasses are flimsy? They are glued, doweled and pressed. Thickness of end panels is standard. The back panels are slightly thinner to where i work now but not sure how they can be described at flimsy.

Jellycatspyjamas · 20/03/2026 20:52

I had a Wren kitchen fitted before Christmas. They were really good - clever design, everything happened when they said it would and the kitchen is exactly what we wanted. I’d happily use them again.

Someone in the trade told me that the carcasses of kitchens across suppliers are largely the same - it’s the doors, worktops etc , that cost more.

We got wren and worktop elsewhere with independent fitter. It’s really nice and been going about 6 years

We used them 3 years ago, kitchen is stunning the service was great, we had a few items arrived damaged they replaced them quickly without any quibble just literally rang and told them the part and the new ones came… we have had one panel that has been slightly damaged two years on rang and they asked us to send a photo and they replaced and refitted it, had a door hanging lower than the other and sent a fitter out within two weeks this was two yeas down the line, we got our quartz worktops through them and when they were fitted the hob didn’t quite line up and they replaced the whole island… honestly amazing service

Londonrach1 · 20/03/2026 21:03

Avoid. Check out the reviews and have you seen the quality. It's also over priced despite what you think.

SurferRona · 20/03/2026 21:06

Six years here and they were great. I knew exactly what I wanted, and had local builders install as part of wider renovation work. It is great. We went for mid-range, great quality and as good as new. Two of the builder team also had wren kitchens in their homes.

We did have one issue with the new gas hob, they sent an independent engineer out who condemned it as ALL the burners were leaking!!! Was a hassle to get it replaced but the current one is working fine now. Wren did compensate as well. I’d go with them again in a heartbeat.

We bought a gloss white kitchen 6 years ago from Wren and it has turned a yellow cream that I now can't unsee. Very unhappy with it and the small print says that if your units go yellow they won't do a thing about it.
Hopefully yours is not gloss white!

Mine is! Six and a half years old, still bright pristine white! Lives in a north facing space, don’t know if yellowing happens if south facing with a lot of direct sunlight?

Yeah I worked on wrens assembly line for 8 years and been at another kitchen company nearly 5. Only difference in carcasses to me is currently company drill each panel/door for specific unit where as wrens are universal for speed. And obviously as mentioned back pannels are thicker at current one. You actually get an extra shelf in a 900 tall wall unit at wren and more shelves in larders and not where I work now even though they brand themselves as luxury

BIossomtoes · 20/03/2026 21:19

Our Wren kitchen was fitted late 2022 and I’ve been nothing but delighted with it. The designer was incredibly clever and made every cm count, the fitter was excellent and it still looks brand new. We’re very happy with it. And, no, I don’t work for Wren!

Mine will be ten years old this year, we had one piece bashed on arrival which they replaced immediately and to be fair out kitchen took an entire truck, the biggest the driver had delivered. There is not a chip or a scratch on it, no fading no damage and I make a lot of occasion cakes, have a cat a dog and brought up two kids in that time. I wouldn't hesitate to order another. We did our utility in howdens to save cash, it's a mess.

CandyflossKid · 20/03/2026 21:25

Had a Wren kitchen fitted in December and really pleased with it.

We found our own fitter to install it as it was cheaper that way.
Any issues, Wren rectified/replaced immediately

Squirrelchops1 · 20/03/2026 21:26

We fitted one about 14 years and it was great. Last did one 9 years ago and the quality was really reduced. I wouldn't have one again. Literally every door/front had a chip in it.

Strangerthanfictions · 20/03/2026 21:27

TheBeaTgoeson1 · 20/03/2026 18:47

Thanks all! We have our our fabulous fitter so don’t worry about that! The parts not coming worries me, but we’re pleased with the experience so far! Interesting that it can come down to fitters!

Seriously we lifted the phone and said there's a scratch on a piece and they sent a new one right away and let us keep the scratched one which we then made into a stand alone unit with some other parts. My kitchen is immaculate. We fitted our own
