Airbnb host refusing to send AirPods without me paying?

Recently got back from a short break in Paris.

I left my AirPods on the bed, the host refuses to send them back unless I pay £50 plus postage.

AIBU to think this is ridiculous?

I’d fully expect to pay! Since it’s international, I’d definitely expect to pay more too. Your AirPods (depending on gen) are worth more than twice that so just pay it. In future don’t forget your shit.

OP isn’t disputing paying, the fee is on top of postage, so the fact it’s international and costs more is already accounted for, isn’t it?

Good job you’re about to tell OP not to forget her shit in future, otherwise she may make this a pattern, not just a one off but costly error.
