Delusional sellers on Vinted

I’m wondering why some people on Vinted price items that are clearly worth nowhere near what they’ve been priced at? Just seen some old, well-worn Doc Marten boots, with scuffs, for £160. There’s plenty of the same ones in better condition for around £70, even brand new ones for about £130. I don’t even think they’re as much as £160 to buy new. Do people just not research how much they’re items are worth or are they chancing it in case some idiot comes along and actually buys it?

I like a skincare product I first bought in Aldi for around £4. It’s a ‘Special Buy’ and rarely available. I’ve seen it listed for over £15 plus postage, no way. Just bought one, in its unopened box for £5. Happy to pay postage on it.

I have to agree about the presentation of some clothes. They look like cleaning rags in the photos.

I get pissed off the most about people who buy stuff from Aldi special buys then stick them up for extortionate amounts, it’s just greed.

Yes I’m looking at you seller of the Aldi floral casserole dish…

Loads of LEGO sets and they are already nearly the same price as thy are in the shop. I wonder is it some sort of scam

She already said it, if she’d be willing to sell for less than the sale price?

Yes but the seller wanted £100 for her item, the buyer asking for a reduction to less than £68 …so likely this would still be £60+ (and postage and fees)

All for a secondhand item …surely the better option was to just buy new. (And scroll past the ridiculous £100, secondhand version)

And why didn’t they just return it to the shop if it’s unworn with tag still on? That’s what I never get.

Surely it's because the original company offloads unsold stock once the sale has finished?

I contacted the Vinted seller to tell her, and included a link to the cardigan on Hush as proof of the price, and asked if she'd be willing to sell hers for less

I’m interested in why you wanted hers, second hand?

Why waste time contacting her when it is obvious your better option is the new, much cheaper one, straight from Hush?

'....and asked if she'd be willing to sell hers for less.'
I think you missed this bit.

No, I didn’t. I explained my thoughts in a post above, if you read the thread,
