What brands do your teens wear?

...and what wouldn't they be seen dead in? Lighthearted but I'm trying to understand fashion a bit from youngsters. DS loved Nike till about 6 months ago .. now wouldn't be seen dead in it or Northface either. Hard to keep up ! Doesn't wear many brands but would rather wear non branded than an "uncool" brand. Minefield! What's hip and what isn't in your household?

Daughter is 15, mainly: Hollister, Jack Wills, Levi’s, Ralph Lauren (from Vinted), Urban Outfitters. But sportswear mainly, Canterbury trousers etc.

Son is 14, Abercrombie and sportswear, Canterburys etc.

North Face coats still allowed.

ContentedAlpaca · 13/02/2026 22:59

Hollister. Anything from a charity shop

brunettemic · 13/02/2026 23:00

DS is mostly Montirex, Trailberg and Reprimo…we’ve become very adept at when to buy and utilising sales! He has a couple of bits of North Face too.
DD likes Montirex and Nike plus River Island. She has various other bits that are just from various different places.

Snootsnoot · 13/02/2026 23:04

Urban outfitters for jeans and the rest from charity shops (dd14)

WeirdyBeardyMarrowBabyLady · 14/02/2026 00:27

Urban Outfitters, Motel Rocks, Hollister, Abercrombie & Fitch, H&M

WeirdyBeardyMarrowBabyLady · 14/02/2026 00:27

Oh and Vinted

Funnywonder · 14/02/2026 01:12

None. DS1(17) wears heavy metal and rock band t shirts and ripped jeans from Vinted or Primark with various spiky, studded, accessories. But his boots are all Converse and New Rock, so a bit of a nod to brands when it comes to footwear. DS2(13) is unwell and doesn’t go out. He spends all day and night in a fleece onesie and wears all black - any old brand - when frogmarched out for appointments.

This info can only really come from your son. It can be very area dependent. By the time brands are popular in the smaller towns around the city I live in, the kids here have already moved onto the next big thing.

TeenLifeMum · 14/02/2026 17:58

14yo twin girls - Hollister, urban outfitters and H&M

18 yo girl - anything she likes from vinted or charity shops. Mostly tiny, strappy tops and jeans, even in -2 degrees coupled with a “borrowed” coat (she has coats of her own 🤷🏻‍♀️)

DitzyDerbyBabe86 · 14/02/2026 17:59

15 yo son - GymShark. Zara. H&M. Ralph Lauren. Primark. Vans. Represent.
Real variety of stuff if I’m honest.

dafsortulips · 14/02/2026 18:00

For clothes, DS has gone off most branded stuff. He likes Zara for jeans and jumpers. T shirts are also Zara but he will wear All Saints and Represent. Trainers are Nike air force 1s. Mostly thought you’ll find him in rugby training kit. He does like a designer belt and he’s getting into watches.

AngryBird6122 · 14/02/2026 18:01

Vinted and charity shops here! They could care less about brands. All teens are different

TartanMammy · 14/02/2026 18:31

They change so quickly don't they. A few months ago I would be saying Fred Perry, CP company, Nike, Lyle and Scott, Ralph Lauren, maybe North Face. It was all about the brands.
But just these part few weeks he's asked for baggy jeans (H&M) and plain non-branded oversized t-shirts. I couldn't predict now what he might like.

He got a couple of Represent hoodies for Christmas and they have been a great hit, never had them off.

AgnesMcDoo · 14/02/2026 18:33

George and F&F

delighted neither have ever got into brands.

Got them direct from Represent - black Friday deal.

QuayshhLawrain · 18/02/2026 20:37

Hollister and Urban Outfitters for both DDs, occasionally Superdry and Zara for DD2 who is 17, and lots of Vinted and charity shops for DD1 who is 18. A couple of years ago DD2 shopped almost exclusively in Primark and H&M, but isn't interested in even looking around them if we go shopping these days!

rainingagainargh · 18/02/2026 21:02

No idea what the boys are wearing but my two teen DDs wear Hollister, urban outfitters, bershka, Zara. Stradivarius is new one. Either new or from Vinted. Sometimes Primark.
Not H&M anymore.

Marylou2 · 18/02/2026 21:07

Daughter Tom's Trunks, uniqlo, Ralph Lauren for Christmas/Birthdays and from Vinted. Urban Oufitters and Bershka for jeans.

KellySeveride · 18/02/2026 21:13

Son 1 - 17, couldn’t care less as long as it comes in bright colours. Favourite hoody is a light purple Nike one. Has recently stolen my pink Nike hoody because he likes it. Does like AF1’s on his feet though.

Son 2 - 16 couldn’t care less as long as it’s black, navy blue or grey. Favourite shoes are a pair of plain black Skechers.

Son 3 - 13 likes adidas and Nike, will only wear tracksuits. Prefers Jordans for his feet.

Pllystyrene · 18/02/2026 21:20

I've got boys so probably different from girl but on a recent shopping trip they got True Religion, Gym Shark, Columbia but they mainly get stuff from Vinted.

user64788643122 · 18/02/2026 21:24

Adidas trainers, urban outfitters, Hollister, Bershka and subdued.

HannahMarin · 18/02/2026 21:34

Daughter 16 - a real fast fashion queen, primark, shein, tik tok shop, she does like Zara, H&M and new look for jeans. She does have some Ralph Lauren Tshirts / knitted jumpers too ( Vinted ) Always has to be Nike or Adidas as trainers and she’s recently had some asics, always a named coat too, she’s currently trying to convince me to buy her a Canada goose!!

son 9 - Montirex, Nike, Berghaus, north face, always has to be air max 95s or air forces

myglowupera · 18/02/2026 21:37
