What brands do your teens wear?

...and what wouldn't they be seen dead in? Lighthearted but I'm trying to understand fashion a bit from youngsters. DS loved Nike till about 6 months ago .. now wouldn't be seen dead in it or Northface either. Hard to keep up ! Doesn't wear many brands but would rather wear non branded than an "uncool" brand. Minefield! What's hip and what isn't in your household?

Interesting ! Also hollister ,charity shops with a smattering of beekwshire.

Sworkmum · 18/02/2026 22:22

For us

DD - mostly charity shops, also likes damaged society and urban outfitters.

DS - urban outfitters, nike, BOOHOOMAN, Clint’s, likes an independent type brand if he finds any new ones. Nike or adidas trainers.

CotswoldsCamilla · 18/02/2026 22:29

Subdued, boujis di Mimi, Brandi Melville, In Print we Trust, Ralph Lauren, Babble and Goose.
Shoes either Ugg, Birkenstock or Addidas Speziales.
Still Northface jackets in this part of the world. 12-14 year old girls.

Meanwhile, I still shop in Zara!

PartoftheBand · 18/02/2026 22:37

Hollister, H&M, Subdued, Pull and Bear, Urban Outfitters, Bershka. But lots of these brands bought from Vinted.

TheWelshposter · 18/02/2026 22:45

I can't keep up...I thought that Hollister was popular years ago and now it seems to be back in fashion. Also, when did Urban Outfitters get so popular 🫣.
My ds has no interest in clothes so I struggle to know what to buy him.

FoxBaseBeta · 18/02/2026 22:56

14 year old ds was a walking JD sport advert until very recently and has suddenly completely gone off Nike/Montirex etc. Now he's wearing Hollister baggy cargos, H&M baggy jeans with baggy Ralph Lauren or H&M hoodies and All Saints t shirts (vinted). He's also just this evening asked me to look on vinted for a pair of tan coloured Levi's.
He seems to be going more for a student look and suddenly looks really grown up!

jelliebelly · 18/02/2026 23:13

Dd17 urban outfitters, bershka,Ralph Lauren, babble & goose, pull & bear, subdued, scuffers is a new one for hoodies.

Daughter 16 - a real fast fashion queen, primark, shein, tik tok shop, she does like Zara, H&M and new look for jeans. She does have some Ralph Lauren Tshirts / knitted jumpers too ( Vinted ) Always has to be Nike or Adidas as trainers and she’s recently had some asics, always a named coat too, she’s currently trying to convince me to buy her a Canada goose!!

son 9 - Montirex, Nike, Berghaus, north face, always has to be air max 95s or air forces

At 9 mine were very much dressed by me and pretty much entirely in H&M. At that age they’d wear whatever I got out of the wardrobe for them and their opinion didn’t go much beyond agreeing only to joggers as they were more comfy than jeans

StormyLandCloud · 19/02/2026 08:46

DD17 likes Urban Outfitters and Disturbia
DS13 likes hoodies with anything D&D or Warhammer

Teaandwater · 19/02/2026 08:50

DS, 14 next month. New Balance an On Cloud runners. Montirex, Monterain and Bergaus tracksuits and jackets. Would not wear Nike, Adidas, Puma or North Face.

DD16, New Balance and Asics runners. Lots of Shein, Zara,Bershka, Pretty Little Things, Fourth Arc.

DD17, mostly the same as DD16 and dresses from Oh Polly.

PattyandChipSpice · 19/02/2026 09:42

My 15 year old has dropped the roadman tracksuits virtually overnight. All the Monterrain, Montirex, Nike have gone on Vinted thank goodness.
Now its baggy jeans and baggy t-shirts. After not wearing NorthFace for a couple of years he’s wanting to spend £90 on old NorthFace fleeces from the nineties. He’s wearing Weekend, Cold Culture, Pull and Bear, Urban Outfitters, vintage stussy, Oakley and Vans. Trainers are adidas and New Balance.
My 14 year old is all about retro or unusual football shirts, Ralph Lauren and Adidas.

Rituelec · 19/02/2026 09:52

Dd 13

New look, primark, vinted for brandy melville and holister etc

Laiste · 19/02/2026 10:39

DD just 12 and loves cargo trousers and baggy jeans with tiny tops and/or baggy jumpers or hoodies.

She's not fussed about brand it's more about shape (at the mo)
She loves her big White Fox hoody tho.

StarDolphins · 19/02/2026 10:41

My DD loves Nike but after purchasing 3 pairs of trainers and 12 pairs of socks that have all fallen to pieces, I’ve asked her to come up with another brand as that’s me out of buying Nike!

GreenGodiva · 19/02/2026 10:50

My dd is 17. Ed hardy bobbed up jeans and tops ( but not together), holister, urban outfitters, and she only wears air Jordan 4s on her feet unless it’s dressy/going out.

I miss those days!

My 9 year old is very particular in what he will and won't wear and chooses his own clothes most days 😍He always looks good though and put together so I leave him too it!
