Clare Balding is irritating AIBU?

Clare Balding can we have one sporting event without this woman. Wimbledon we ended up with her and now the bloody Winter Olympics have her. Next thing is she will be presenting Match of the Day. She pretends she knows literally everything annoyingly about tennis and now about skiing. Bore off. BBC can’t get anymore talent.
This woman came from horse racing commentating now she’s bloody everywhere not just sports. Highly irritating

Hahahahaha. I remember the dressing gown of doom one. I have 3 of these, 😆 🤣. I really would of like to have seen the roman empire one, sounds like my husband and his treadmill with the pie on a string hes running towards to get 😆 🤣.

I like Claire Balding. I agree with the poster upthread that its great to see a female presenter of her age and who isnt into glamourous clothing and make up etc. Excellent.
But........ I would appreciate seeing a wider variety of other presenters too.

Sue should still be doing Wimbledon. It’s quite telling that they tend to use Annabel a lot, as she actually knows what she’s on about.

Maybe the mens goonies but ive got a lovely burgandy Dorothy perkins one, a black floral light summer one and a satin peachy one I picked up in homebargins for a 5er in the sale...now I picked those exact colours so they didnt end up washed oot and grey when I was walking about feeling shite. 🤣.

Thinking about it though, I rarely get so ill i need it. When I got covid during the 1st lock down I thought I had a week long hangover and went to get the essentials in, I felt so awful, I was about crying at the shops but thought hey ho, its my own fault. The goonie stayed firmly in its place behind the door in the bedroom. When husband got (i like to share) he thought he was sent for. 😆 🤣 😂

I really like her, it’s comforting to see her on television. She makes me feel secure. I like her presence and her energy. She looks like she works ever so hard and really cares about what she is doing. I find Clare puts people at ease, asks good questions, she always smiles and has just this real abundance of goodness about her.

Yeah, can't bear her and don't understand why she is at absolutely every sporting event. I mostly know her from equestrian, and she was such a horrible, rude interviewer; she'd ask a rider a question and then immediately turn away and start scanning for someone better to talk to, with the poor rider looking a bit awkward and confused as they tried to answer the back of her head! Maybe she just hates horse riders, or maybe she's better at the presenting side, but I developed such an animosity to her that I can't bring myself to listen to her at all.

I yhonk she's really good. There are far more irritating people on telly than her. She's sharp and.quick unlike some of the twit presenters we get..

She's one of the few female presenters that men can't claim no nothing about sport. She was a professional jockey and her father was a very successful racehorse trainer.

She is also a very accomplished presenter who people (cos I've heard as many women say it) can't say has got the job because of her looks.

So we have an openly gay, female sports presenter who hasn't been the subject of thousands of negative comments, mems and attacks. Who is very good at what she does. Btw, listen to Ramblings on radio 4 if you want to hear how good she is as an interviewer. And still women put her down

Clare is great, especially for sports that most of us don't know much about, because she is the Everywoman who asks the right questions of the experts, and therefore we learn too.
She also, always, does her homework, and it shows....how can you not like diligence?
Finally, she is enthusiastic and a genuine sports fan, which is exactly what you want for someone presenting.....sports!

Loads of women present their sport and are great at it

what we are sick of is it being Mono Clare

I don't mind CB at all - perhaps it's her chirpiness that irritates some? Hazel Irvine is far more annoying IMHO.
