ICE agent shoots woman in the face.

Eyesopenwideawake · 07/01/2026 21:18

It had to happen; in Minneapolis a woman in a car was shouting at the multiple ICE agents. One tried to open her car door, she started to drive away and was shot 2 (3? 4?) times in the head.

Trump is blaming her. Fucking hell.

EDIT BY MNHQ - Though the footage of this incident is in the public domain, we have removed the link originally included in this thread as we believe it could cause distress.

@Hyperobject

You may want to read this.

https://x.com/JeninYounesEsq/status/2009096021008163003?s=20

The last two paragraphs are really key:

"Even a real police officer would not have the right to shoot at her for trying to flee. This is well-established in the case law; deadly force may not be used simply to prevent someone from getting away. Given that the ICE officers had no law enforcement authority to begin with, AND the video footage shows she was trying to escape a perceived threat, not to kill anyone, the crime is all the more inexcusable. I'm praying for the victim's family, especially her children. I'm also praying for all the conservatives who are so unprincipled and lost they're excusing this terrible crime, and gloating over a death that will leave three young children motherless, because of the victim's politics."

allthingsinmoderation · 08/01/2026 12:23

This looks horrific!
There must be a way for professionally trained police officers to manage people without resorting to shooting them dead, surely?
Although ,i've never understood why someone would not follow instructions from armed police officers.

Happyjoe · 08/01/2026 12:23

My friend was shot in LA, clearly a member of press last year by ICE agents. They do not care, Trump does not care. People in the USA need to remove Trump. He's ruining America and slowly the world and everyone is standing back and watching. It's just madness.

PS, been shooting black people for years and mostly getting away with it.

Just to point out, that if this woman had been successful in her attempt to run over and kill the officer in front of her car, almost every single post on here would be cheering his death.

Why are you making things up? Why would people cheer someone's death when as you can plainly see, most (decent) people are horrified someone has been mindlessly killed?

If they didn't have guns he'd have just stood out the way and taken her number plate to have her arrested. You can clearly see she was trying to get away, not kill him! If she was aiming for him then why did her vehicle continue to turn? Surely it would have continued going in his direction if that's what she was aiming for?

In fear of his life my arse.

And just to add, he pulls out his gun while she is reversing.

Video of what happened before and after.

She is there with her wife. Blocking the road. Filming. Shouting and swearing at ICE.

She had been causing issues and was repeatedly told to leave. She chose to be there. Chose to stay. Why was her wife outside of the car, filming?

Theyvarent just random people caught up.

ICE were trying to getbher to leave. She chose to stay until they attempted to arrest her, THEN she chose to try and drive off. Into an officer.

She had been there causing trouble, swearing, filming.

Of course they thought she might be capable of running them over! Have you not seen the masses of liberal protestors getting violent?

Edited

And that makes summary execution ok in your world?

Nobody is gleeful. I’m not sorry she’s dead but I’m certainly not ‘gleeful’ FFS.

When Kirk was shot, anything short of North Korean-style performative grief was deemed to warrant dismissal from employment. One man in Tennessee even got locked up for 37 days for posting a quote of the President minimising a school shooting.

Certainly being "not sorry he's dead" was considered "gleeful" by MAGA. So by the standards set by your comrades, you are gleeful.

TooBigForMyBoots · 08/01/2026 12:22

I watched the reporting on GB News last night. Aside from the heavy editing the presenter, repeatedly emphasised the victim's surname. She even did air quotes around the Good name.

It was absolutely disgusting.😡

Here's the GB News ticker. It describes Renee Nicole Good as a "violent rioter".

GB News is to MAGA/Reform what RT is to Putin.

Playingvideogames · 08/01/2026 12:21

I wouldn’t call blocking with a vehicle a ‘quiet protest’

A quiet protest is silently praying or sitting with a placard.

I can't believe anyone is defending the ICE murderer. They shot her multiple times in the head for sitting in her car then trying to leave when told to.

His actions are indefensible.

And what the BBC and Guardian are to leftists and communists.

Still no reporting of the Iranian revolution yet, eh?

She was following orders. One told her to leave and she was trying to do that until Triggerhappy Timmy decided to act.

And it tragically cost her, her life.

Filming agents doing their job is provocative - people should stay out of such things. Whether you agree with what ICE is doing, is academic.

She may be have been more anti-ICE/Trump, than pro-immigrant.

She paid with her life.

It isn't provocative at all. That is nonsense.

What we've seen, and then heard from the President (who wasn't there, has no place in pre judging anything that could be prosecuted and should keep out of it) and others is nothing less than state excused homicide.

And as a PP mentioned, we don't even know for sure she was blocking them on purpose. In any case, it is unconscionable and downright uncivilised (but of course us in Europe who are keeping a semblance of human rights and due process, WE'RE the ones posing the civilisational risk...)

It doesn’t matter if she was protesting.
It doesn’t matter if she didn’t get out of the vehicle when she was asked.
It doesn’t matter if she bumped his leg slightly as she manoevered her vehicle.
It doesn’t matter if she obstructing ICE from doing their jobs.

He should not have shot her.

Because it does matter that she deliberately drove at an agent and lifted him off his feet.

The thing is they're not professionally trained at all. The rate they are hiring them, there is no way they have proper firearms or de-escalation training. In fact I don't imagine they have any de-escalation training at all, they are hired in order to escalate.

It's pretty standard to film now when you see ICE given they just pull people off the street and their families don't know they ve been taken and what centre they ve been sent

That's horrendous 🥲
Your post gives off 1930s vibes. All this technology has its uses I suppose in that you can film stuff now in cases like this.

Fear makes people behave irrationally, which is why firearms officers need to be trained to expect unpredictable actions from the public.

Have you never done anything stupid in a moment of panic?

Absolute clowns 🤡

Right wing isn’t a dirty word, and there will be right wing or centre right people who disagree with ICE here (me included)

Good and so they should @Playingvideogames but I've never seen such a display of calm dismissal or justification of the act of a mother being shot -
certainly not on Mumsnet.

RoamingToaster · 08/01/2026 12:32

This doesn't surprise me. I know people criticise ICE as it's full of people with limited experience and training but this kind of action also isn't out of the ordinary for police there. A few weeks ago I watched a video of three police officers unload their weapons into a man because he was standing still holding a paid of standard household scissors. He didn't even lunge or anything and was clearly in mental distress.

It's ironic that a lot in the USA say Europe isn't free when there it's acceptable for agents of the state to kill citizens so easily.
