Best part of Christmas? To me definitely

I have:

Different varieties of cheddar
Red Leicester
Roquefort
Brie
Wensleydale & cranberry
Camembert
Manchego
Feta in olive oil with herbs etc
Roulade
Parmigiano
Philadelphia
Quejo flamengo
Alentajano cheese

I will add some pickled onions to a few and pay for it all later with heartburn 🫣

Have I missed any?

Mozzarella!!!

EuroTour · 21/12/2025 12:01

🤮 cheese is disgusting. If I was PM I'd ban it 🤣 yabvvvvu 😉

bungobungobungo · 21/12/2025 12:01

Actually you have missed the most important one - Stilton!

Oioiqueen · 21/12/2025 12:02

Good choices there

I'm most upset that I can't have any mould ripened cheeses this year though.

ChristmasRobinFly · 21/12/2025 12:03

errrm what other picky bits do you have to go with it
such as apples and grapes gerkins etc ?

theunbreakablecleopatrajones · 21/12/2025 12:07

Seconding the Stilton

I also like a milder blue in the mix - like a Gorgonzola. Or bath blue

I have a deep love of Gruyère, cooking cheese or not

I'm not mad about Red Leicester but I had the red fox brand recently which was quite food

I like an End of Christmas fondue around the 2nd to use all the extra bits up

TheChosenTwo · 21/12/2025 12:07

We have very different cheeseboards op!
Went to my mums last night for a pre Christmas get together with my siblings (won’t see my brother now until the new year) and she had cracked open the cheeseboard - it finally felt like Christmas!
I’d find an onion chutney and some gherkins to add to your cheeseboard 😋 get stuck in op, ‘tis the season 🎄

God you are so lucky, I'd be several dress sizes smaller if I felt the same

She has a side of cheese and biscuits.

Sounds lush.

AngelicInnocent · 21/12/2025 12:10

I'm tempted to say YABU because I'm at work and can't have cheese and biscuits until after I shop on Tuesday.

TrentCrimmsflowinglocks · 21/12/2025 12:10

I’ll be round in 20 mins, OP!

RaininSummer · 21/12/2025 12:11

This thread is making me sad as I have developed an intolerance to dairy. I used to love Cheesemas.

BuffaloCauliflower · 21/12/2025 12:13

You’ve prompted me to order some Wild Garlic Yarg from the fancy cheese shop online, it’s my favourite and I’ve been trying to convince myself it’s not worth the money but sod its Christmas. That plus about 12 others I haven’t bought yet 😂

booksnbaking · 21/12/2025 12:25

Sympathies to @RaininSummer. Life without cheese is a sadder place.

Crunchy Cheddar.
Well-matured Lancashire.
Blacksticks.

Pineapples123 · 21/12/2025 12:28

Got to add a Gorgonzola or Cambozola!! And the black garlic cheese from m&s

Saddlesore · 21/12/2025 12:53

Comté!

Loveactuallyortheholiday · 21/12/2025 13:00

HansHolbein · 21/12/2025 11:56

What was yours?

LaLoba · 21/12/2025 13:06

There absolutely must be a blue cheese on the board for me, I found a smoked blue this year so am eagerly anticipating Christmas Eve Cheese ( a very important date in our calendar).
I’ll be having a round of chemo on the 24th, and my tastebuds are not enjoying a lot of things I previously loved. But thank the gods, cheese still tastes good so I still have Cheesemas to look forward to afterwards! 😁

Ooh we bought some of this on friday! It's a favourite but i did nearly faint when they said how much 300g cost!!!!

To be honest, it doesn’t usually make it to the cracker because it goes straight in my gob!

YYURYYUCICYYUR4ME · 21/12/2025 13:43

Smoked Red Leicester, plus a side of Chilli Jam

xAwaywiththefairiesx · 21/12/2025 13:49

My sister is bringing this year's cheeseboard. I don't know exactly what's on it but she says she spent £60 just on cheese so it should be good!!

Suprise cheese 😋😋😋

inezname · 21/12/2025 14:08

Boursin?

It's hard to find it where I live now, and I miss it.

I also introduced it to my Australian foodie husband and he loved it. What beautiful cheese.
