Best part of Christmas? To me definitely

I have:

Different varieties of cheddar
Red Leicester
Roquefort
Brie
Wensleydale & cranberry
Camembert
Manchego
Feta in olive oil with herbs etc
Roulade
Parmigiano
Philadelphia
Quejo flamengo
Alentajano cheese

I will add some pickled onions to a few and pay for it all later with heartburn 🫣

Have I missed any?

Boursin?

It's hard to find it where I live now, and I miss it.

I also introduced it to my Australian foodie husband and he loved it. What beautiful cheese.

Mmmm I love Boursin.

I wonder if it's rude to buy some to add to my sister's £60 cheese in case it isn't included?

Waitrose do a cracking Red Leicester with black pepper that we've just discovered <sticks two more blocks on Tuesday's delivery>

Just on a cracker? 😬

You're right, the cracker is overkill, just eat the cheese on its own!!

Ooh we bought some of this on friday! It's a favourite but i did nearly faint when they said how much 300g cost!!!!

840g heading my way 😂 taking the cheeseboards to two different family days and I’m known for them so have to push the boat out!

Sounds delicious! I'm making do with brie, wensleydale and chilli cheddar this year as it's just the two of use and DH will only eat mild cheddar and maybe mozzarella on a pizza. I'm hoping his brother and wife will come over just after Christmas so I can get in a nice cheeseboard in. No blue cheese for me, but everything else goes down nicely.

letshavetea · 21/12/2025 17:58

I adore cheese. It’s the best thing about Christmas. I have to have decent chutney and Bath Oliver biscuits. Celery and grapes are also essential.

Mild cheddar 🤯 divorce him. You have good grounds 😂

MyGodMyThighs · 21/12/2025 18:20

We started our cheese today too. On our board this year is:

Baby Yorkshire Blue
Cornish Gouda
Old Winchester
Wyf of Bath
Celtic Soft
Tunworth
Cornish Cove
Cornish Yarg

With sourdough crackers, damson cheese and fig cake.

So damn good.

burblish · 21/12/2025 19:01

Delicious selection, OP! You could also add Stilton, Baron Bigod, Boursin and something smoked (I'm partial to Applewood but any firm smoked cheese is good).

Sympathies to @RaininSummer. Life without cheese is a sadder place.

Crunchy Cheddar.
Well-matured Lancashire.
Blacksticks.

Thank you for the sympathy. It's a tough place to be at Christmas.

Jellycatspyjamas · 21/12/2025 20:54

I’ve just made chilli jam to add to the Christmas cheese board - fabulous with Brie or a good cheddar.
