My son has football on Wednesdays at 6. The football lasts an hour so me and my partner go to the pub and share a bottle of wine and chin wag while he plays x

Doesn't he want his parents to watch the matches?

justalittlebitofrain · 19/11/2025 12:36

FlameGrilledSquirrel · 19/11/2025 12:38

Bad parenting. You should be standing on the touchline screaming abuse at the kids...

OSTMusTisNT · 19/11/2025 12:45

As long as you aren't driving home afterwards and are happy to pay ridiculous pub prices for wine then who cares?

Celestialmoods · 19/11/2025 12:50

And?

Baconbuttymad · 19/11/2025 12:56

He doesn’t want us to watch

MajorMerrick · 19/11/2025 12:58

Meh, my kids have left home, I could do that every night of the week.

youalright · 19/11/2025 12:59

Whats the question?

PrioritisePleasure24 · 19/11/2025 12:59

Why do posters have to be straight on at a poster…. making sarcy comments or excessive ??? Its ruining the site.

TenPenceMix · 19/11/2025 13:01

Sounds lovely

Why do posters have to write random threads. Should I write a post saying im going for a wee then nipping to the shop

HaudYerWheeshtYaWeeBellend · 19/11/2025 13:01

How old is the son?

CNDflag · 19/11/2025 13:02

He doesn’t want us to watch

Is your partner his dad?

If not, could it be that he doesn't want him to watch, but would like his mum to be there.

Because it wasn’t even a question, just a random stream of consciousness!

K0OLA1D · 19/11/2025 13:05

As its only an hour and mid week, isnt it training?

Ive never watched my dc training. I go to his matches at the weekend though

L0bstersLass · 19/11/2025 13:11

@Baconbuttymad, sounds lovely. Not sure why you set up a poll though.

Hobnobswantshernameback · 19/11/2025 13:13

erm
ok

youalright · 19/11/2025 13:13

We don't know how to vote as you haven't asked a question, now you've vanished.

takealettermsjones · 19/11/2025 13:15

The question is implied, surely, isn't it?

"AIBU to do this?"

BetterOffNow · 19/11/2025 13:16

Pubs are there for people to go to, if people didn't go they wouldn't exist!

Why on earth would it be unreasonable for you to visit one?
