My girl is having her kittens! First one is here squeaking and healthy!

Second is imminent.

Gubby’s owners sent this pic - they have a mesh partition to keep her in her dedicated room at nighttime and she climbs it until she gets let out first thing 🤣

They say she’s like a whirlwind and settled really well - I’m so happy ❤️

@Millytante the noise they make when they get that feather is hilarious - you’d think they had live prey.

Mama is good - a bit irritated when she can’t round them up for a feed which is hilarious, but healthy and chilled.

I caught Uncle Cat grooming one of the kits the other day too which was very sweet so it looks like we are on track for a harmonious 3-cat household 🤞🏽🤞🏽

We have to have some of those meshes on the windows so ours can’t get out of the house in the summer.Our girl is fearless, aka stupid, and wants to get in any stationary car or van, or play chicken on the road through our estate.

OP, I have a poorly cat, a poorly heating system and an 83 year old husband with Alzheimer’s. This thread has been so uplifting. 😍

I’m really sorry to hear that.

One of the reasons I let our cat have kittens is that my aunt has terminal cancer. My mum died when I was in my teens so she’s more of a mum to me and is like a grandmother to my son - she was there when he was born and they are exceptionally close.

He is autistic and will struggle terribly with the loss when it comes so I just wanted a bright spot.

I’ve loved seeing the pics of Gubby especially - she has such similar markings to my cat who I adopted as a senior. It’s been so special to see what she might have looked like as a kitten. Thank you OP x

@Davros not yet - hes with us until Feb 15th and im so happy!!

Nostada (as my son calls him for Not Tostada) is going Monday and then it’s just Scrump and Tostada.

Minnie has been given seal of approval by the vet who says she is in ‘excellent condition’ so again I am very pleased we gave our kits a good start ❤️

You’ve been amazing kit parents.

All five eating happily together. We’re finally there with ‘Unc’ as up until now he liked to be fed separately.

It’s quite an undertaking to look after that many cats. I’ve only got one and the litter, food, toys, treats etc keep me busy

We get out litter on repeat from Zooplus and the DPD guy who delivers now knows to deliver to the garage door 🤣

Well it's always irresponsible deliberately to let a cat have a litter.
Any look round a rescue would tell you that.

Despite already having proper homes for the kittens ? There is no way these kittens were ever going to end up in a rescue shelter. They have been responsibly bred and cared for.
