My girl is having her kittens! First one is here squeaking and healthy!

Second is imminent.

I think she’ll have 4 🤞🏽🤞🏽

What beautiful kittens. I have a tuxedo cat who is instantly tabby in strong sunlight. I've had a really tough few months, @Kittenwatch You've just made my day. Thank you. Your kittens are gorgeous

They get cuter with every photo. I’m sure you will miss them when they leave. I was really upset when our two ginger boys went off to their new home. It was much easier when the tortoiseshell left because she went to live with my mum so we still saw her all the time. We kept the fourth kitty, who lived to be 22.

My grey kitten had stripes when she was tiny but now she’s 2 she’s fully grey and I haven’t seen a stripe since!

You wait until they've crashed the Christmas tree 🎄 down for the nth time, you are scooping half a tonne of pee and poo twice a day, washing 20 food bowls, etc etc. but you will have one still at home won't you as well as Mum.

I’m really loving all the kitten photos.

I’ll tell you something; exPILs kept getting pets cats and rabbits from the local RSPCA shelter because they were wealthy and could meet all the criteria @Peridoteage lists, the pets were always a lot older than they were told (the vet would tell them this) and with undisclosed health problems, the latest one has real social problems. I did ask them to stop getting pets there as it was breaking my children’s hearts. there’s absolutely no way I’d get a cat from that shelter I’d be too scared

Scrump is going to be quite a character

The RSPCA and other such organisations are terrible for animal welfare, ironically. My DH's family who had a cat tried to adopt a dog via Dog's Trust and they said 'not suitable for cats', and then also said 'not suitable for kids', my DH was around 13 at the time. So they went to a family that they knew whose dog had just had puppies and they adopted a dog from them.

A friend got a rescue cat, great cat, adored her - cat got ill, took her to the vet, turns out she was really elderly, like a decade older than the rescue had said. Broke my friend's heart.
Got another rescue cat and the same thing happened!
Third time round she bought a kitten.

I really wish we could but his new owner is already besotted!

So glad this thread is still going and the kittens are thriving, looking at the Thread Gallery it's lovely to them change from damp little scraps into beautiful fluffy kittens. Mum looks very protective in the latest pic with her in it!

You’ll be able to visit him. And maybe even be his holiday home?!
