My girl is having her kittens! First one is here squeaking and healthy!

Second is imminent.

I think she’ll have 4 🤞🏽🤞🏽

She didn't mention her black daddy cat being neutred.

I didn’t say he was mine did I?

What’s the point in commenting if you prefer to believe based on your experience rather than what I actually say?

It renders any conversation pointless because whatever I say you won’t listen.

Seriously - why are you here @Happyjoe?

The kittens are here. There’s nothing for you to add. Go find someone else’s parade to rain on.

These people can't read correctly, OP. I wouldn't worry about them. Apparently they are cat saints and spend their lives covered in cat pee when not screeching at people on the internet. They're lonely little sadsacks.

TallulahBetty · 13/11/2025 10:33

Yay, more cats in the world when the shelters are already bursting at the seams

So you don't have children or contribute to capitalism I take it?

Happyjoe · 13/11/2025 09:54

That is just plain nasty, what a horrid individual you are.

The poster with Terf in her name (ew) sounds utterly nasty and condescending. I was telling her so. I'd rather have more cats that people like her around.

Kittenwatch · 13/11/2025 15:08

No you absolute twit - it isn’t! This is why it’s not worth engaging with people like you. You’ve got your narrative and that’s that.

Just sod off already.

I am genuinely interested about how you know who the Dad is. Was it an arranged thing or did you see this black one hanging around?

Absolutely not asking to criticise, just being nosey and recalling the pregnancy of our neighbour's cat who escaped before being neutered. No idea who the Dad was, but bit of a giveaway that one of the kittens was bright orange!

bigolbananasplit · 13/11/2025 15:39

SoftLeaf · 13/11/2025 10:07

Exactly!

I wonder how many of these people have adopted cats themselves? Considering this is AIBU and not the litter tray, I’m guessing very few.

People are always going to breed animals at the end of the day.

I doubt they have, Mumsnet is notorious for getting worked up over people having pets. The multitude of posters who say dogs are disgusting and treat cats like they're fleas is giving OCD.

Nothing wrong with terfs. Personally I loathe bananas.

There was no need for any of the nastiness on this thread.

Yes - it was ‘arranged’ as suggested by the vet - it felt very bizarre 🤣

I was hoping for an errant orange one but nevermind!

Are you mentally challenged. Why are you talking about bananas.

I've got this mental image now of you putting 'get it on' music on, dimming the lights and providing a romantic meal for two with some sort of aphrodisiac cat food on the menu.

We didn’t have much choice when our cat got pregnant - she brought her gentleman friend into the conservatory and they shagged for some time in front of my husband who was trying to work at the time 😆😆😆

PrizedPickledPopcorn · 13/11/2025 15:52

Gosh I miss the laugh emoji, @bigolbananasplit 🤣🤣

This was exactly what we joked about as we drank coffee and gave them some alone time.

And then you put your head round the door to find them with their fur on end sharing a post coitus catnip cigarette.

Why is there always someone eager to piss on other people’s chips?

Your baby moggies are beautiful OP 🥰

Kittenwatch · 13/11/2025 13:08

Omg it totally reads like that 🤣

Could you imagine?

Very easily!
There are times when, perhaps due to lack of sleep, I am convinced that my extremely elderly matriarch 🐾 is about to speak to me. In English.
My brain stops dead, as it freaks out in advance.
But she’d talk pure sense, I know that. She’s developed quite a rich language of chirrups and squeaks for communicating with me over the years, and I definitely understand her commands and observations!

TheBeaTgoeson1 · 13/11/2025 16:17

7 cats had 7 kits.

Now you have had kittens, then please be responsible and get your cat neutered.

It is! And the strumpet was very noisy as well! She brought him in on several occasions. 😆😆

no doubt they are cute, but I think you have made an irresponsible decision in letting this happen.

Lancasterel · 13/11/2025 16:31

Gorgeous gorgeous cat and kittens! Thank you for sharing. My two cats are from a lady whose cat wasn’t neutered and who escaped. We’ve had them since kittens and they are the best cats I’ve ever had - so gentle, loving, brilliant at being cats/pets. My neighbour has rescue cats and although gorgeous they are extremely timid and obviously come with a lot of baggage bless them.
For us, with young children, we didn’t want a rescue who already had life experience and possible trauma, we wanted kittens and my goodness they bring so much joy, are the best pets ever and have taught the children so much about pets and animal care/ownership.

I second a pp who advised moving to the Litter Tray section.

@simplesimoneatspie "no doubt they are cute, but I think you have made an irresponsible decision in letting this happen."

I agree. Animal shelters are bursting at the seams. Did your vet really recommend the pregnancy OP? On what basis? I find that rather hard to believe if you are in the UK. How are you going to go about homing the kittens responsibly?

I’m going to put them in a box on the drive with a ‘take one’ sign 🙄

You know @Kittenwatch, I am very old, and I have observed that some people become really angry, unpleasant and bitter as Christmas approaches. I used to work with a woman who displayed the kind of shitty ness aimed at you on this thread every bloody year as we got to mid November.

Let us be kind and generous of spirit and assume it’s a temporary affliction that causes them to be so negative about your lovely bundles of kitty joy.

I think ignoring those posts is probably the best course.
