I read that as 'chinese' and peanut butter!

I really should go to bed.

ComtesseDeSpair · 26/10/2025 23:10

I’m trying to imagine the mouthfeel of those four things in combination, and all I can come up with is “adhesive.”

AmyDudley · 26/10/2025 23:11

I'm eating a piece of lemon cheesecake, and very nice it is too.

My favourite peanut butter combo is peanut butter and banana sandwiches. Food of the Gods.

There is an element of truth in what you say. But I am determined enough and experienced enough with foodstuffs to get through this.

Anyway Ive finished it now. Only the one. Good job really because that was the last cracker. Stale it was.

Im not sure those things are completely shocking though..

Although I will now try that peanut butter and banana combo. Not keen on bananas but I like to give things a go

Oooh cheese and peanut butter is banging, I like it on a digestive biscuit for that extra layer of cementing your teeth together. What cheese have you gone for?

I'm also a sucker for Gouda with honey and salt on a cracker if I'm feeling a bit more fancy.

No they aren't shocking. What is shocking is that it is in reality gone midnight, and just when I thought I was all done and off to bed, a big piece of cheesecake jumped out of the fridge onto a plate and shouted 'eat me'.

Lunde · 26/10/2025 23:21

DD used to eat paté and honey sandwiches!

Well its no great shakes, it was Wilkes mature (is that the name, I cant be arsed to check in the fridge) from Home Bargains of all places. I grabbed it the other day in a cheese emergency (you know how it is) and found it was quite nice so Ive been using it up.

So I do have 'better' cheeses in the fridge but it was really satisfying

The peanut butter was also 'Stockwell' from Tesco and as I say the cracker was stale, so I wont pretend this is fine dining

Dont worry though, Im doing fine

Thats quite common, its usually these nights after the clocks go back. Hidden spirits in the fridge. I think theres been research about it

At least you treat peanut butter on toast (I'm allowing the cracker) as the savoury item it is and don't combine it with banana or jam like a maniac.

I will give you that. And that is all I will give you.

Peanut butter (crunchy) and banana sandwiches are one of my regular lunches.

Erm, ok, erm, (shuffles feet)... well... you see, I do actually put jam with it sometimes.

And

Also chilli jam

There, I said it. Chilli jam, peanut butter and cheese.

Peanut butter and banana on toast with a drizzle of honey. Cup of tea. I like being a maniac.

ScaredAndPanicky · 26/10/2025 23:40

I should not have read this at this time of night
Now craving digestive biscuits with peanut butter and chocolate spread and cheese and crackers.

Okiedokie123 · 26/10/2025 23:44

Peanut butter and cheese on a cracker sounds amazing. Ill have to try that (Ill skip the butter though)
My favourite peanut butter combos are........
Peanut butter, salad and cheese in a wholemeal bap.
Peanut butter and dried onion/crispy onion flakes on a piece of German rye bread or an rice cake.

Definitely "adhesive" as someone else said......... but thats just a reason to have a drink handy!

Endofyear · 26/10/2025 23:46

I had a cheese and tuna toasted sandwich with loads of chopped red jalapeños in, it was lush! Now I've come up to bed with 2 bags of crisps (frazzles, french fries) and a Dime bar. Going to watch Scream in bed in the dark, munching 😊

soupyspoon · 26/10/2025 23:46

Ive checked the cheese. Its Wykes Farm, vintage reserve. Its lovely.
