What time do you go to bed?

Just that really, what time do you go to bed?
I am permanently knackered and my problem is I go to bed late as I enjoy watching some Tele after kids are in bed and it's usually by 11 pm that I sleep and having very young kids - 1 and 4 yo, I have disturbed sleep with their night waking with teething and sickness etc and I feel I am permanently knackered.
Appreciate any tips for good sleep.

I guess everyone's asleep by now.

11 -11.30 for me too and it's too late. I've got a 6,4&8m old

ninjahamster · 26/10/2025 22:31

I go about midnight and wake in the morning at about 9, I don’t work. I wake probably 10-15 times a night.

Devilsmommy · 26/10/2025 22:32

I'm an insomniac so can't really help you but hopefully this bumps it for you 😉 I've got a 3 year old who finally sleeps through but I still can't 😂

oviraptor21 · 26/10/2025 22:32

Don't usually go to bed until at least midnight. Was later when the kids were young as I was a sahm and didn't have to get up so early as I do now for work.
I've always been a night owl though and sleep very well.

RitaFromThePitCanteen · 26/10/2025 22:32

Midnight usually

StampOnTheGround · 26/10/2025 22:33

Between 11:30-12 for me, I have young kids too 3.5 and 7 months but I really enjoy the evenings to myself or with DH when they’re in bed. I am also permanently exhausted as my youngest isn’t sleeping great and then up early for the day with both of them. It is too late but I can cope because I really value the bit of evening time I get!

WhatIsTheCharge · 26/10/2025 22:34

I’m 8 hours behind the U.K. so I’m awake!

DH and I usually watch an episode of a series downstairs after we’ve put the DCs to bed, then we are in bed by 9, watch another one in bed. Then I’ll usually read my kindle for half an hour, and asleep by 10:30 most nights

Redpeach · 26/10/2025 22:35

10pm usually, sleep is very important, just go to bed earlier

PGmicstand · 26/10/2025 22:38

I go to bed around 11. It might take me 20 min to fall asleep, or, I can lay awake for an hour.
If I'm lucky I'll only wake up once, to go to the toilet, but usually a hot flush or two will disturb me.
Depending on the day, I might be up at 6.45 to get DC up. If DH gets up, then I can get a bit more sleep.
I often feel tired as my sleep is so erratic.

GentleSheep · 26/10/2025 22:44

Anywhere from 11:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. - I still get up around 6 regardless. Will nap in the afternoon if I need to. I just can't sleep a long night now, doesn't seem to do me any good, I'm better with around 5 hrs then a couple of hours later on. It's annoying but am used to it now, after being such a good sleeper for most of my life!

hidinginthebathroomagain · 26/10/2025 22:48

We go to bed by 9.30. Up around 6.30 for work. I hate being tired. I’m on holiday this week so have been out enjoying the hotel entertainment but am tucked up now.

Seawolves · 26/10/2025 22:49

Anywhere between 8pm and midnight

Chickoletta · 26/10/2025 22:50

Usually about 11pm. My kids are older (teens) so no problems with them sleeping. By the time we’ve had dinner, often had to drive them to a club/pick them up, done some tidying and an hour or 2 of marking/emails (teacher), I never really get to sit down until about 9.30 and it’s nice to have a bit of an evening with DH. Ideally, I’d like to go to bed at 10 and am going to strive to make this happen a couple of times per week after half-term. I had a headache last night so went to bed at 9 - with the clocks changing too, it was the best night’s sleep I’ve had in years!

JDM625 · 26/10/2025 22:56

About 11pm, but can be midnight or even 1am, although rarely. I don't have children. I tend to wake about 4am though and toss, turn for 30mins before eventually getting back to sleep. I assume its peri.

goodnightssleepbenice · 26/10/2025 23:00

I go about 11-11.30 never go straight to sleep ,wake up several times in the night and get up at 6.45. Most mornings I promise myself I will go to bed early but I never do and it’s non stop at work so no time to be tired in the day .

DoAWheelie · 26/10/2025 23:01

The bedtime doesn't matter really. How many hours of sleep are you getting? I just go to bed when tired rather than sticking to a set time, but since I don't need to be awake in the morning at a specific time I always get 8 hours.

Tryingatleast · 26/10/2025 23:04

I’m the same as you op and it’s not working. My friends pick two or theee nights to watch tele or sit with partners etc then rest of the week are in bed by half nine but none have teens. It’s a head melt. I even started taking magnesium but had to stop as I was getting deep deep sleeps but in such a short amount of time that I woke up as you would from a Power Nap and was groggy. Told my friend and she told me I should go to bed about nine as I get up so early. But most of our house is still up at nine!!

MidlandsGal1 · 26/10/2025 23:05

Between midnight and 1am on my days off.

Biffsboys · 26/10/2025 23:10

Never before midnight. I’m up at 5 30 for work …Just don’t like to see the next day of work lol

jbm16 · 26/10/2025 23:23

I find I feel worse with too much sleep, go to bed around midnight and wake up around 6-6.30am but undisturbed sleep.

Break4Love · 26/10/2025 23:29

In bed by 10.30pm usually, sleep by 11.30pm but sometimes midnight. Up at 7am. Sleep well until around 4ish then I'll wake and normally back to sleep before 5.

Raindancer101 · 26/10/2025 23:31

About 1am. I'm a nightowl and I just can't switch off until then. Even if I come to bed at 11, I'm wide awake and can't sleep until 1. I'm up at 7. I need to work on it.

TwistedWonder · 26/10/2025 23:33

I live alone and usually around midnight. I work 75% from home so don’t get up till about 8 most days

lIlIIl · 26/10/2025 23:52

Normally around 3am I’m a night owl.
