Just that really, what time do you go to bed?
I am permanently knackered and my problem is I go to bed late as I enjoy watching some Tele after kids are in bed and it's usually by 11 pm that I sleep and having very young kids - 1 and 4 yo, I have disturbed sleep with their night waking with teething and sickness etc and I feel I am permanently knackered.
Appreciate any tips for good sleep.

I'm usually in bed by 9 and asleep by 10 at the latest. My sleep has synced up with my partner's sleep, who takes his sleeping tablet at 8 and is usually asleep by half 9 😂 I have a 7 year old who generally sleeps through unless he's poorly.

Sometimes (like tonight) I wake up absolutely boiling and then it takes me ages to go back to sleep 😅

I guess everyone's asleep by now.

Nope

CustardySergeant · 26/10/2025 23:58

I go to bed at 2am.

BauhausOfEliott · 27/10/2025 00:01

It really depends, but the earliest I tend to go to bed would be midnight.

Whatever time I actually go to bed, I’m rarely asleep before 2-3am.

I get up about 8.30-9am most weekdays as I work from home. If I’m going into the office, I’m up at 7.30am. Weekends it just depends what I’m doing.

Strokethefurrywall · 27/10/2025 00:59

I’m an early bird so I go to bed around 9pm, up around 5am if working out or 6am if have a rest.

tinyspiny · 27/10/2025 01:12

I’m normally in bed by 11 but I watch TV and use the iPad until about 1 and then I read until about 2 / 3 . I can’t sleep any earlier and usually wake up by 8 and I’m rarely tired during the day . I put it down to working nights for 25 yrs before I retired .

Ginandtoniconthedeck · 27/10/2025 01:23

I used to be such a night owl but now I’m in my late 40s I’ve turned into an early bird.

I’m usually in bed about 9:30 and asleep by 10. But then I need to leave for work at 6:30 so I’m up at 5:30. (I’m 4 hours behind the UK so I’m tipping this from my bed at 10:23 lol)

justbecauseyoucandoesntmeanyoushouldx · 27/10/2025 04:06

Between 9 & 9:30.... the kids wake up early so I'm usually awake by 5/5:30 even if I'm not up with them, plus DS (baby) usually wakes up at least once per night. DH always wingers about it but honestly he can fuck off.

LifeSucksBigFatBalls · 27/10/2025 04:35

I am a night owl.
Hence still being awake now (4.35am)
I tend to go to sleep around 4-5am
I have a really terrible sleep pattern and need to sort it out

pinkbackground · 27/10/2025 04:45

9.00pm but we’re up early (as you can probably tell!).

sladtheinkaler · 27/10/2025 04:53

I prefer time to myself early in the morning so I'm usually in bed by 9ish and asleep about 9.30, but then I get up between 5 and 6. Don't need to start getting ready for work until 7, but I like having a couple of hours to myself.

Splat92 · 27/10/2025 05:01

In bed at 10:30-11:00 and up at 5:30-6:00 usually

LifeSucksBigFatBalls · 27/10/2025 05:24

Still awake now (5.24am)

Sheknowsaboutme · 27/10/2025 05:28

Between 9-10. My kids are always in bed before me.

i love nothing more that a hot bath, pj and straight to bed. I have gone to bed at 8 many a night. I listen to my body.

muddyford · 27/10/2025 05:38

9.00 and read till 9.45. I sleep till 5.30, up at 6.00.

WoahWoahandThriceWoah · 27/10/2025 06:06

9pm, up at 4.45am for work. Also have a health condition and the main symptom is fatigue. Can't decide if I want more sleep or to just fuck it and sleep less because I will be tired anyway 🤷‍♀️

Girlintheframe · 27/10/2025 06:07

Usually between 9-10pm but I get up around 5-6 am.

Andtheworldwentwhite · 27/10/2025 06:09

I am not a night owl. I go to bed about 8 pm. But I am up at 5.30 the next morning to fit in an hour of exercise before I shower put washing on and have breakfast.

Blanketenvy · 27/10/2025 06:10

8.30-9. But I do have health conditions, but still value trying to get enough rest over other things mostly.

828Pax · 27/10/2025 06:43

10pm and up at 6am (or earlier if the kids get up!)

TattooStan · 27/10/2025 06:56

I go to bed at 10pm most nights, and 9pm a couple of nights a week. I fall asleep easily, but am awake from the very early hours, so I figure if I can at least get 9/10pm-3am in the bag, I might not actually die of sleep exhaustion!

hunchandfollowedit · 27/10/2025 07:03

Anywhere between 1:30am-4am. I get up around 7 ish because of the children. Damn ADHD 🥴

MagicLoop · 27/10/2025 07:09

I'm usually in bed at about 10:30 and read untill 11. I get up at 6:30 on a work day, but often wake up before that. I'm a morning person, but I do wish I could have a lie-in sometimes. I wake up early whatever day it is, whatever time I went to bed and however tired I am!I can very rarely go back to sleep. I should probably go to bed a bit earlier. I never get 8 hours' sleep.

AmethystAnnotation · 27/10/2025 07:16

It can be any time from 9:30 to 10:30 in the week, a little later at the weekend but not usually after 11.

I normally get up between 6:30 and 7:30 in the week. Typically at the weekend if I have nothing planned I'll get up around 8 but sometimes I have more of a lie-in. 9:30 is the latest I like to get up at the weekend, otherwise I feel I have wasted the morning.

I have never found getting to sleep once in bed very easy, I will often lie awake for at least two hours, some nights my brain won't switch off at all and it can be 2 or 3am before I finally get some sleep.

If I'm very tired and I am working from home, I will have a nap at lunchtime.

TubeScreamer · 27/10/2025 07:25

10:30 ish. Usually read for 30 minutes or more. Alarm goes off at 6:45 in term time.
