Has anyone seen these ads advertising toilet paper?
my kids keep repeating it and saying i thought ‘crap’ was a bad word.
I've always thought of it as swearing. It is isnt it? 😂😬

Obviously crap means poo. But i didnt think swear words were allowed in daytime advertising.

I don't really think crap is a swear word these days. Plus Thomas Crapper invented the toilet, so the fact it ever became something even remotely unseemly has always seemed very silly to me.

I have never seen crap as swearing.

I’m personally very fucking sweary but I don’t swear in front of my kids, do consider crap a swear word, and do hate these ads.

I’d rather hear the word crap than the word poo, which sounds twee and childish to me.

I am a very sweary individual and broad-minded, but that 'who gives a crap' ad makes me cringe, I don't know why I find it so distasteful, but I do. I mean, I like to sing along with the much-maligned Pepto-Bismol jingle, but I turn into a purse-lipped maiden aunt at the other one.

Don't know which is worse, the unnecessary name or the fact the ad people get paid a lot to sit around and think up rubbish like this.

I think it's vile and would never buy the product.

My parents thought crap was a swear word and I guess I do too.

However, we do buy the loo roll and I quite like it! Does mean my daughter can't take the empty cardboard rolls to guides for crafting though...

Its borderline. But that's the point. They are trying to seem edgy and cool so that people who see themselves as edgy and cool are prepared to shell out more.

I don't think it's a swear. I always use it in polite company. It's f-bombs otherwise.

I buy the product as does one of my colleagues. Both in our 50s, we are very far from edgy or cool.

It never occurred to me to find the name vile, offensive or even particularly outrageous. I like the product and I find the subscription service convenient.
