So

im aged 41
size 14-16.
no idea what my hair is as havent seen natural hair colour in a while

You dress like someone much older and assume you dye your hair yourself, you could make do lots to help you look your age, a trip to the hairdressers to sort out style and colour to something much more flattering, and clothing that highlights your shape, doing so would boost your self confidence.

ErinAoife · 05/10/2025 20:52

Size 14 around 45 years old chestnut hair color

Smileybutwily · 05/10/2025 20:55

@chatahoochee any particular reason you are asking?

Confused19831983 · 05/10/2025 23:45

age 35, size 12/14, light brown hair

SnowFrogJelly · 06/10/2025 00:28

Not another one 🙄

Itiswhysofew · 06/10/2025 00:34

I can't really see you properly but -
Early 30s
Auburn/light brown hair
Size 12/14

Itiswhysofew · 06/10/2025 00:37

Why do you ask?
What's going on?

Toofficeornot · 06/10/2025 00:43

46 but with a young face
Auburn hair
You look small against the door, so I think dress size is 12 to 14.

arcticpandas · 06/10/2025 00:50

38-43, dress size 10/12, auburn hair.

Isn't the "welcome" supposed to face the person arriving?

Omg! Exactly what I was thinking! I mean instead of pondering how old people think she is, OP should fix her mat 🤣🤦🏽‍♀️

RuthW · 06/10/2025 01:05

35-40
light brown
10-12

I disagree - the person arriving will barely notice it, but OP's front door leads straight into her living room, so she has to look at the mat all the time she's in there; I would want it the right way round from my perspective in those circumstances.

chatahoochee · 06/10/2025 08:17

Sorry for late replies. I’ll answer comments a few people made

thanks for comments on good skin, I haven’t worn make up in over 10 years which probably helps

I ask because I literally have hardly any social life so when I do venture out (this photo was me going to lunch), it’s nice to think I look reasonable

i did dye my hair myself yes but going forward I’m actually growing it out as I haven’t seen my natural hair for ages plus the less I dye it the less damaged it’ll become

i appreciate my hairstyle isn’t the most flattering but it’s so hard to style short hair and I regret cutting it. I’m willing it to grow every day so fingers crossed

the welcome mat being the wrong way was my husbands idea. He says it’s to say people are welcome to leave. Which sounds strange as he’s very social and often has friends over.. and I’ve just left the mat as it is. Not an issue really

think I’ve answered all questions but if not feel free to ask

You could be anything form 30-50 no idea from the photo it’s hard to tell , good skin tho! Light auburn hair, slim, maybe size 14 ?

mondaytosunday · 06/10/2025 08:47

I guessed 40, you look on the short side so I’d say a 12/14, hair reddish. So not too far off!

Frankblackwife · 06/10/2025 08:56

41,16, light brown?

Frankblackwife · 06/10/2025 08:58

Oo, was right high 5 me

But that makes no sense! The mat isn’t for the OP. It’s for the people who come to visit. You know you’re welcome in your own house! Don’t need a mat to be reminded of that 🤭

Kitchenbattle · 06/10/2025 11:13

I’ve never been in a house where the front door leads straight into a sitting room…does it get very cold and draughty?

But the visitors will likely be entertained in the living room, so they will see it better that way round.

I've lived in a couple of houses like that and it didn't. One had an enclosed porch outside, which the OP may have - the other didn't, but it was fine - it was a solid, well-fitting door. The main thing I missed was having a hall in which to leave coats, shoes etc. The house that didn't have the porch had a small lobby by the back door, and we ended up mainly using the back door to go in and out and that was where we hung coats.

DiscoBob · 06/10/2025 12:11

Hair looks reddish. Age wise it's difficult to say. Could be anything from 28-60. Sorry I'm not good at guessing ages! Dress size again hard to say as your not in context next to other people. 12/14/16 maybe?

Swiftie1878 · 06/10/2025 12:16

Mid fifties. Auburn hair. Dress size 14.

But a mat is really to only look at when you first come in. Not whilst visiting in the living room! Completely preposterous ! We will have to agree to disagree.
