i would love to share a photo of two gorgeous women.. my daughter and her best friend..now in their late 30's. I asked permission and they said yes. I am just so very proud of how the crazy brats grew up... let me know if it is appropriate

It feels odd you want to do this, even odder that they supposedly agreed.
It’s fine on your FB or whatever, where friends can see it, but why would they want their faces seen by however many number of MN users there are?
Very odd.

BuffetTheDietSlayer · 26/09/2025 19:50

Weird.

BIWI · 26/09/2025 19:50

Not sure that Mumsnet is quite the right place for this, tbh.

CafeDuck · 26/09/2025 19:50

Best not

DuesToTheDirt · 26/09/2025 19:51

No, not appropriate at all.

Fringegirl1 · 26/09/2025 19:52

Huh- who do you want to share it with?

TeaForTheTillermanSteakForTheSun · 26/09/2025 19:53

Op are you aware this is MN not your friend list on Facebook?

Why would you want to share a photo to thousands of strangers? For what purpose?

ghostyslovesheets · 26/09/2025 19:54

Why? Seems a bit odd - I think that’s what SM is for

LindorDoubleChoc · 26/09/2025 19:56

I think you possibly don't understand about photo sharing. But please do not put them up on Mumsnet! Apart from anything else, we all love our children and are proud of them. No one else is interested. Have you not noticed that literally no one else on this million member site shares photos?

latishia6 · 26/09/2025 19:59

Erm, ok....

Reachedtheend · 26/09/2025 20:00

Why on earth would you want to share a photo on MN?
That's the last thing MN needs : random posters posting photos of their relatives and friends.

CharlieKirkRIP · 26/09/2025 20:00

Why would any of us be interested in what they look like?

By all means write a post about your life story and how they have turned out without including any identifying details but none of us need to see a photo!

CharlieKirkRIP · 26/09/2025 20:03

Photos are subjective. You might see two beautiful women, we might see ….

i would love to share a photo
TheChosenTwo · 26/09/2025 20:03

Just echoing everyone else, bit weird because we don’t know them!
feel free to tell us about your daughter if you want to share though. People like sharing nice stories and it’s also nice to read them.

Enigma54 · 26/09/2025 20:03

Not appropriate on MN.

steff13 · 26/09/2025 20:06

I think Instagram is the way to go here.

didntlikeanyofthesuggestions · 26/09/2025 20:07

Not here thanks

Jeschara · 26/09/2025 20:13

No please don't, why do you think other people are interested. Its your daughter and you have every right to be proud, most Mothers do, but like me they have self awareness and realise it could be tedious for some people.

TrustedTheWrongFart · 26/09/2025 20:15

No thanks.

Fringegirl1 · 26/09/2025 20:22

Actually intrigued now though… so please do share!

FieryA · 26/09/2025 20:23

If you are proud of them, why do you have to post a photo to demonstrate that? How would anyone gauge their achievements by some photo? Very odd.

MrsTerryPratchett · 26/09/2025 20:26

See the username.

Hard no.

Pollqueen · 26/09/2025 20:28

Is your name Kris and do all your kids' names start with a K?

NoisyLittleOtter · 26/09/2025 20:31

It’s lovely that you’re so proud of them, but why not share with friends and family instead?

Wishimaywishimight · 26/09/2025 20:37

For what purpose? What are you expecting people to say?
