My husband got invited out with his boss and family's obviously. I'm sorry but last iguanas is not somewhere to be taken by a boss. Never heard of it. Quick search on Google.th first thing that came up was Iceland new range. If something is in Iceland I'm very sorry but no

What? It’s not the best place in the world, but a meal with the boss and family is about networking. It’s not about the food. Maybe put the snobbery aside for the evening? Rub elbows with the great unwashed for the sake of good will with the boss. Certainly don’t let on that you are so superior and have disdain for their choice.

Also perhaps consider other people’s preferences and be less judgemental? A lot of people favour chain because they have dietary requirements, or a limited diet. It can be reassuring for people. Or they might just like it?

Las iguanas is quite nice I think. Bit rude to look a gift horse in the mouth. Is boss paying with his own money? I take my team for drinks etc but I only earn 10% more than them, am not loaded.

Feel free to not go to chain restaurants then.

Personally I quite Las Iguanas, it's not bad for what it is.

Las Iguanas is ok actually, I am not overly keen on chains either normally but a sucker for Mexican.

Maybe company has a limited budget for entertainment. Maybe his boss likes Las Iguanas. I've had some crappy food in very expensive places, and very acceptable meals in some chain restaurants. Why are you such a food snob? If you're so offended by the invitation, send your husband on his own, just make an excuse, I'm sure nobody wants a dinner guest who is turning their nose up at a meal.

I don't usually tend to eat in chains, but Las Iguanas, The Botanist and Wagamammas are better than most and are often better than independent eateries.
