I’m not a fan of Snag for the same reasons as PP, but I had a quick look at the link, expecting it to be their usual fetish kink shock stuff.
It was nothing like that at all - but was very, very odd.
For anyone who doesn’t want to click the link, it’s a very amateurish video posted by Snag from someone who seems to be the owner of Snag.
It starts with a close up of her face and she looks quite distressed. She’s breathing heavily and she looks as if she’s either just got up or just getting into bed. She’s talking about a critical review of Snag tights not being stretchy. She goes on to say she wants to prove that’s not the case, but in quite a desperate tone, not a salesy way. It then pulls back to show the woman standing in her bathroom in her underwear and holding a pair of Snag shorts.
I couldn’t watch the rest as it was so bizarre, it almost felt a bit voyeuristic! She was talking about how hard it is to have a business and was just pleading to the camera.
There was nothing professional about the video - it looked like something a reader would send in, but apparently it’s Brie at Snag.
Snag are quite a big brand - this video doesn’t fit with their usual style at all. It’s crass and off-brand. I don’t know if they’re changing tack and going for sympathy vote but it’s bloody weird.
Imagine the head of Ann Summers standing in her knickers in front of the camera in her bathroom, looking dishevelled, almost crying as she tells you how hard it is running the company, and how she wants to show you just how nice their knickers really are because she read a horrible review. That’s the vibe.
Really, really weird.
