I put toothpaste on my spot on my forehead, I get married in 2 days and it’s the only thing that dries it out- I got it bed and I started moving around and rubbed my face.

BAMMMMM immediate stinging to my eye, after about a minute or two it stopped burning, now my eye is dry and red but other symptoms.

im worried im going to go blind, we are in Spain so cant see someone quickly. Im so annoyed with myself :( and im panicking like crazy

It’s only toothpaste, try not to worry! Just wash your eye out and get some eyedrops later on. The more you mess with it the more red and sore it will be. X

Missohnoyoubetterdont · 25/08/2025 05:06

No. You won’t go blind!

Tandora · 25/08/2025 05:10

Toothpaste in your eye will not make you blind of course not. It’s just red and stingy, it will pass. Maybe try running it under some water to wash it out.

healthybychristmas · 25/08/2025 05:16

Do you really think they could sell toothpaste without a warning that it could make you go blind?! Rinse your eye as much as you can, that's all you can do.

chaiselozenges · 25/08/2025 06:22

Did you not wash it out?

Dogaredabomb · 25/08/2025 06:25

Don't worry, only wanking turns you blind.

Zanzara · 25/08/2025 06:25

This is not the thread I thought it was going to be.

BallerinaRadio · 25/08/2025 07:04

This is quite the leap

Don't worry, only wanking turns you blind.

🤣

Zezet · 25/08/2025 07:18

How do you think you made it through toddlerhood? With plenty of stupid accidents, I can assure you.

Have a lovely wedding day!

InterestedDad37 · 25/08/2025 07:26

I'd give my eyeteeth for some toothpaste-eyewash. 🤔👀🦷🪥

PlutarchHeavensbee · 25/08/2025 08:01

Oh for heavens sake… seriously????

BuildbyNumbere · 25/08/2025 21:14

Trumpthecant · 25/08/2025 21:18

Genuinely thought this was going to be about wanking.

vixen996 · 25/08/2025 21:19

Oh ffs you’re not going to go blind! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

SliceofTosst · 25/08/2025 21:20

Are you for real?

Arlanymor · 25/08/2025 21:21

Toothpaste can't make you go blind, no matter where it ends up. Keep washing your eyes out with water until the stinging subsides - exactly as you would if it were shampoo. Then see how they are in the morning and consider getting some eye drops if they still look a bit red. You will be fine - it's irritating but is nowhere near the level of panic that you seem to have got yourself into.

ninjahamster · 25/08/2025 21:23

Why did you think you could go blind?!

Petrolitis · 25/08/2025 21:24

You're likely just a bit over anxious because of the wedding.

Rinse your eye out plenty, you'll be fine.

If it does stay irritated for days do obviously get it checked out.

IMissSparkling · 25/08/2025 21:27

Don't worry. An eye patch with a wedding dress is a great look, very classy. 👌

momtoboys · 25/08/2025 21:28

For the love of god...

ThreePointOneFourOneFiveNine · 25/08/2025 21:30

No need for anyone to be mean. We’re all capable of being irrational at times. Being abroad and about to get married can make you feel under pressure, and being under pressure can easily reduce your ability to think clearly and logically.

OP you are not going to go blind. Rinse the eye thoroughly. Try not to rub it as that will make it more red and sore. Having it closed all night while you sleep will be the best thing for it. Stop worrying and enjoy your wedding. Congratulations.

whatashame123 · 25/08/2025 21:34

How have you managed to get to marriage age without getting something slightly painful in your eye before?
Pantene shampoo used to feel like an actual legitimate torture method!

Whattodo76 · 25/08/2025 21:36

I think you will definitely go blind, I'm so sorry. Call an ambulance now to get to the nearest hospital. Im worried it might already be too late.
