I don't know if this critique is fair. Not having a go, I just don't know how realistic it is. You have people in care who eat through the entire equity of their home in a few years. I doubt Katie was making so much money she could have afforded elite care for Harvey for life as well as provision for the rest of her kids.

The question is, how much money has Katie made in her career? A few million, tens of millions, hundreds?

I don't know actually how old Harvey is, or how long he will live with his disabilities but even a million or so would eventually be eaten through with high level private care with a normalish lifespan, unless she had invested incredibly well.

State funded social care should be available for all, no one should have to work all their lives and use all the assets they could have left their children to pay for it. It ought to be better, just like nursery provision should be better.

Yes, neither would I. But to be fair, neither of our incomes or lives revolve around the media. To look after him, she needed cash. She had one major avenue to get it and that was through the media.

It was also totally acceptable at the time for celebrities to sell stories regarding their parenting and lifestyle to magazines. KP was was far from the only one. Kerry Katona was another one. All the ex girl band and minor celebs and TV personalities were at it. Even major celebs actually. It got to the point that when a celeb couple married or had a baby, people would speculate how much they would get paid for the photos and interview. OK! and Hello magazine constantly had the wedding and 'inside the life of' spreads. Attitudes have changed somewhat today.

So I don't think KP did anything unusual and probably raised attention for a very rare condition few knew of. Prader Willi syndrome was something I'm sure many had never heard of with many saying he was just obese.

One thing though it was a shame that Peter Andre seemed to drop out of his life. I think PA said he really wanted to see him but it was due to Katie. He wanted to adopt him during the marriage apparently, but I'm not sure why he didn't. Maybe that was down to Dwight.

@BadDinner I’m speculating slightly based on what I recall being said at the time (a long while ago) but PA was keen to keep a relationship with Harvey but wanted KP to fund his care when with him and she declined to. Something along those lines.

Watch videos carefully: she's mocking him in an underhand way that falls just below the radar. In one video I recall you can see princess locking eyes with her mum and both sniggering and trying to stifle it whilst he's rocking back and forth with some humiliating "gift" she's bought him plonked on his head.

I think she's a "feeder" too and enjoys watching him gorge on food that he should have limited with his Prada Willi and obesity. He's a heart attack and stroke just waiting to happen.

Also, there's very much a link with the multiple conditions Harvey was born with and drug taking /drinking during pregnancy. There is evidence of KP doing those things whilst pregnant with him. It's not a totally wild accusation to wonder if her behaviour during pregnancy may have had an adverse affect on a developing foetus. However much people can convey fake shock and awe at saying these things just because they don't like how it sounds.

Some of the pictures of her drunk (and god knows what else ) while she was pregnant with him were saddening to see. Falling out of nightclub's in mini skirts.

It's besides the point I know, but taking a 17yrs old virginity whilst heavily pregnant with another (AWOL) man's baby then bragging about it, shows how much of a priority preparing to be a 'new mum' was for her.

Also Harvey is autistic and has verbal ticks and 'love you mum/mummy' is one of them. If you watch you can see , he says it when overstimulated/excited/nervous and it's unrelated to the context.

Example: "Harveeeey bear, are you going to have your hair cut today ?'

Harvey: "yes mum. Love you mum."

I know it's a tick as my DH has the same one and it really annoys me as there's no sincerity in it.

In fairness though, Kerry Katona has had a evidenced shit life and upbringing. Her mother is a total waste of space and was a drug addict and Kerry was bought up in the care system. Mum only came out of the woodwork when she knew Kerry had money.

Poor Kerry's life and relationships have been a mess : but I can kind of see why.

KP on the other hand hasn't got that excuse. Her brother and sister are well turned out individuals and she had a loving upbringing. The only thing she clings onto are some spurious SA allegations.....

And Harvey has limited capacity to understand how he's being portrayed, he probably doesn't care my son wouldn't either.

You never saw her complaining about being up in the night with the children because she never was. Harvey was looked after by his maternal grandmother before going into residential care and the other children had their fathers or nannies.
People believe the stories she gives to the tabloids who merely cut and paste ‘facts’ ad nauseum, so they sort of become the truth, iyswim. These are the people who say, ’yes, she’s troubled, but she’s a lovely mum to Harvey.’ Imagine if a man in his forties posted pictures of himself on social media, naked, nestled up in bed with his adult special needs daughter while she slept. There would be an absolute uproar, so why is it alright for Price to do it? The sight of her with her bare breasts pressed up against Harvey, trying to look sexy for the camera isn’t ’sweet’ or ‘showing a close bond’, it’s completely inappropriate.

"spurious SA allegations" is a terrible thing to say, when you really have no idea....

It's so easy for everyone to keep hurling nasty accusations and judgements at KP when we don't really know what happened to her in childhood.

Just because on the surface, it seems she had a loving family and background, doesn't mean she wasn't abused in some way by someone.

When I was a child I had been regularly abused by grandfather.
SA at age 14 whilst on holiday.
SA at age 15 by a friend of my dad's.

No one knew until I told, years later.
I went off the rails for years but with good therapy, managed to sort myself out.

I think she poses seductively on purpose to appeal to all sorts of fetishist's. If you look at pictures of her with horses she does it too... You can see exactly what she's trying to allude to (for god knows what sickos) that's how low she'll stoop. Thinking people will get something out of her posing seductively with her big adult son and animals. There's no low she won't stoop to. Unfortunately for her (although she can't see it as she's a narcissist and thinks she really does have every man panting) she's not attractive and looks dreadful nowadays.

Also the common trope of "she used to be a naturally stunning/beautiful woman" KP was never "beautiful" : she was 'pleasant' looking in her youth.

Nobody is calling your experience "spurious" . I am though, calling KPs spurious, and I won't budge from that.

Also whenever she poses with her sister she always picks the most unflattering pictures of her poor sister with no makeup on, greasy scraped back hair , dowdy clothes and her glasses on. Meanwhile KP has photoshopped herself next to her beyond all recognition looking like a filtered, painted mannequin that's been tasered. Her sister ironically looks prettier .

The thing about Katie is that she comes across as honest, but I am never quite sure if I believe what she is saying .
An example of this is her claim that Peter Andre ended the marriage because she slept with her dressage instructor . She claims that she didn’t sleep with her instructor and that Peter Andre made a mistake
Her denial appeared convincing , but who knows if she was telling the truth .
I personally thjnk that Peter Andre comes across as a decent father but would be a crap partner / husband
I believe that both he and Katie were toxic individuals and he is very controlling
I think he deliberately dated a very young twenty year old in order to control her as he wasn’t able to control Katie
Also, I do have an issue with a man who was knocking forty turn up at a twenty year olds halls of residence .
I have a daughter around that age( who is also coincidentally at Bristol the same uni attended by Peter Andre’s wife ) and I would not be pleased if an almost middle aged man rocked up in his flash car to take her out

Her father was a surgeon who operated on PA. Surgeons daughter (Emily) fancied him and asked her father to introduce them. He did. They are now many years down the line.

I don't think we should be silenced into not questioning the legitimacy of her lies because it may offend real SA survivors. I think liars such as KP and under covering them is important to not detract from the actual survivors of SA. This woman does victims of these awful crimes an absolute disservice.

PA asked Emily's Dad? Or Mum? If he could contact her I believe before dating her. Her father is a hospital consultant or something isn't he? Why did they agree? I always wondered.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say. You may think that KP was pleasant looking in her youth but that is just your opinion. Many people do think that she was stunning.
