I love browsing antique shops, interior design, old Hollywood movies and music. I usually love reading too, but I’ve struggled to pick up a book in recent months.

OP posts:
Lex345 · 07/08/2025 23:02

Music, crosswords, mycology, reading (I also have struggled of late to start something new though but have some poetry books I am working through), cooking, quizzes, football (watching), snooker (playing), darts (both), local history, world geography & culture. I often consider myself quite boring and wish I had the time to learn more.

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 07/08/2025 23:03

Music and football

Snap here, bar the sports lol

SkaneTos · 07/08/2025 23:05

Music, singing, horses, books, book about horses, books about animals, writing, watching TV, taking walks, watching sports (all sports, but my favourites are football, ice hockey, track and fields, swimming, and show jumping).

purpleme12 · 07/08/2025 23:05

I love books.
I quite like bike riding (I am not a serious rider!) and swimming

SkaneTos · 07/08/2025 23:05

And theology and genealogy.

Cleanthatup · 07/08/2025 23:07

Reading, but I am also struggling atm, I can’t seem to find a book I want to finish!
gardening, I enjoy tending to my roses
bird watching
movies - any genre but Sci-fi mostly
crosswords
crime documentaries/cold case podcasts
quiz shows

mine are very solitary but we tend to be a very quiet bunch in this house.

ps.. great thread to read.

CuddlySheepCalledBagel · 07/08/2025 23:17

Hmmm, love this question. I try to romanticise my life as much as I can:

• Books
• Audible
• Lego
• Avocados
• Sourcing different soaps
• Charity shops
• A decent series (Yellowstone/Landman)
• The odd true crime documentary
• At home murder mysteries - I think they’re called Cryptic Killers
• Matcha
• I quite like my dog and young children and husband

TokyoSushi · 07/08/2025 23:18

Football, current affairs/the news in general, yoga, books.

Umbongoumbongo999 · 07/08/2025 23:30

I love to read, fiction and non fiction. I love to organise and categorise things. I like learning new things and teaching new things to people. I like to listen to podcasts around wellness, psychology and current affairs

I am passionate about music and love to go to gigs, collect vinyl and sing in a choir. I nearly always have music playing when I have the chance.

I like to challenge myself. At the moment I am working on my sleep habits, my work productivity and weight training.

I love to travel and I enjoy planning trips, and also making travel an immersive experience. I like to read books set in the places I am visiting, make Playlists, curate my photos and write travelogues

Humanswarm · 08/08/2025 08:11

I like to read but like others struggling to finish or get into books at the moment.
I like craft and watercolour painting.
I enjoy crime documentaries and podcasts..The Missing really intrigued me and I listened to all series. I also enjoyed Uncanny.

I like being outside and this year have enjoyed gardening for the first time as a hobby as opposed to a chore.

I enjoy my first coffee of the day in solitude.bit takes me a while to wake up properly and I find time for myself every morning no matter how busy my day.

I also love music. But nothing specific. I have a tendency to find a song I really like. Play it to death and then move on..

TheeNotoriousPIG · 08/08/2025 10:51

I LOVE browsing antique shops, but I was quietly appalled when one of the toys that I used to play with was featured in one! I also like books and bookshops, animals, music (both listening to, and playing instruments), trapeze and aerial silks, writing, horse riding, swimming, windsurfing, knitting, sewing, arts and crafts in general, religion (including sects and cults), being organised, learning anything of interest (e.g. life on the smaller islands off the UK mainland, though I'm yet to travel to any of them due to my working hours and how long it takes to get to most of them!).

I also find my job interesting, though my manager is not!

Arraminta · 08/08/2025 10:55

Reading, anything from romantasy to historical fuction.
Jigsaws, especially beautiful Wentworth ones.
Counted cross stitch, I have far too many kits, but always need just one more.
Dabbling in interior design.
Love browsing charity shops and brocante fayres.
Watching cheesy action movies, the more testerone fuelled the better.
Have a lifelong passion for the Plantagenets, I know more about Henry II than I do about some family members.
Calligraphy, I'm mainly self taught but booked on to a specialist course next month.
Browsing bookshops, the older and more haphazard the better.
Spending time with DH just pottering.
Spending time with our DDs, they're just lovely.

Picklechicken · 08/08/2025 10:57

I find it so interesting how different we all are.
