I fell asleep on the sofa at 6 and woke up at 9 pm. Pootled doing washing etc watched abit of tv and then went upto bed.

mmmmm well I’ve watched the last season of line of duty ready to start the new one.

im now downstairs.
just hung a load of washing out and sat listening to the birds cursing myself for nodding off earlier

anyone else want to share?

The usual. Kids have wrecked my sleep patterns!

Bikergran · 30/06/2025 04:23

Awake because husband is snoring......

TheChippendenSpook · 30/06/2025 04:24

I'm up because I'm getting ready for work.

Azandme · 30/06/2025 04:26

I woke up at 3.30am. I have a huge work event today, if it goes wrong it's my reputation on the line. I don't think it will, but I have ADD, and once the hamster in the wheel of my brain wakes and starts running, that's it.

I'm reading Mumsnet to try to distract the hamster enough that I can sleep another hour.

emmetgirl · 30/06/2025 04:28

It’s a frequent thing for me. I’m guessing it’s my age. I’m 58.

AnyoneWhoHasAHeart · 30/06/2025 04:31

I’m habitually an insomniac but I’m now on steroids following a transplant and they’re aiding the process nicely.

BeachPossum · 30/06/2025 04:36

Feeding my baby. I've just bragged on another thread about how she usually sleeps through but for some reason she's up for a feed just now. I think she maybe got a bit cold.

askmenothing · 30/06/2025 04:39

I’m feeding my baby too. He’s 12 weeks old but was born at 29weeks and we’ve only had him home a couple of weeks. I’m still in the really enjoying the novelty stage 🥰 sure it will wear off soon! Reading mumsnet with him asleep on my chest.

Hope the work event goes well @Azandme! what are you doing?

virtually shoves stick into the wheel to jam it to a stop 😂❤️

Loving all the baby feeding (DS is 13 now so those days are long gone!) our dogs have started barking at 3:30am to go in the garden….. I’m not sure why this phase has started in their lives, but I can’t get back to sleep now as I’m waiting for my husbands alarm to go off at 5.

PenguinLover24 · 30/06/2025 04:45

Was sleeping for half 9 as I was shattered after a day out in the sun (Scottish so not used to it 😂) woke up with a blocked nose at 3:30 but felt fresh .. I seem to do better on 6 hours sleep, if I have 7/8/9 I feel so groggy! I will probably be so tired later though, especially with a 15 month old who has slept like a peach tonight!

HallidayJones6779 · 30/06/2025 04:49

Also up feeding! She's 14 months old now but still breastfeeds at night. From 4am she's starts to be a little monkey, up every hour! But a quick feed usually gets her back to sleep quickly. In fact, she's asleep now so going to try to put her back down and get another hour.

SilviaSnuffleBum · 30/06/2025 04:51

Haven't slept all night.
I'm used to insomnia, but I could really do with a strong coffee and I don't have any in.
😭😭😭😅

Tarkan · 30/06/2025 04:51

Fibromyalgia. I was dog and house-sitting for a friend during the week. I was then away at a funeral a couple of hours away on Thursday. Since I got home I’ve basically slept but not much at night. I got up at 10am after 5 hours of sleep, which is usual for me now tbh. I then slept from 12.30 to 5.30pm and of course I can’t sleep now. DH works nightshift so that doesn’t help.

29 weeks! What a trooper ❤️ enjoy every minute of those precious snuggles

loobyloo1979 · 30/06/2025 04:55

Usual wake up time for me. Was off work last week as I was unwell, and am dreading looking at my emails today. Always gives me anxiety I don't know why???

Good luck @AzandmeI'm sure it will go well!!

@AnyoneWhoHasAHearthow your recovery is going well
@BeachPossumand @askmenothingI miss those night feeds. Mine are now in their 20's so maybe I'm remembering it with rose tinted glasses!

PopThatBench · 30/06/2025 04:57

I’m 38 weeks pregnant, the size of a whale and my bedroom is as hot as a sauna.
I’ve been restless all night, didn’t even attempt sleep till 1am 😬

ruethewhirl · 30/06/2025 04:59

Lifelong sleep disorder (as diagnosed by a sleep consultant). Usually manageable with various meds (not sleeping pills), but occasionally I just won’t get a wink of sleep for the entire night, and it appears that last night/this morning is going that way. Really great when my alarm goes off at 7.30 for work. 😬

Thank you! He’s a superstar and so snuggly and perfect. Just can’t believe my luck that I have him home 🥰

@loobyloo1979 awww, it is a special time isn’t it when they are tiny.
Emails after leave give me anxiety too, like somehow something really important has gone wrong or something, inevitably it’s just many irrelevant emails and nothing I can’t deal with. Sure your inbox will be the same!

BeenThereBackThen · 30/06/2025 05:00

Im working at my desk. Shouldnt be but i am😢

ByKindOpalPoet · 30/06/2025 05:01

Up earlier than normal in order to drive a mini bus of teenagers for their DofE award

Keepingittogetherstepbystep · 30/06/2025 05:02

Got an infection in my back, I was late taking my antibiotics yesterday so my brain is refusing to let me sleep.

MrsMillyFluff · 30/06/2025 05:05

I've been awake since quarter to 4. Had a text conversation with DD in law as she was also awake. My sleep patterns are absolutely shit . I fall asleep ok, but wake up in the middle of the night frequently.

BoldGreenDreamer · 30/06/2025 05:09

Because its only just gone 9pm.
