Mini cooper convertible

DH and I are having an argument.
Booking a car for our holiday. DH wants to hire a Mini Cooper One convertible.
We are 4 adults, one who is 6ft3 tall.
I think we won't fit in, but DH is adamant we will, because the Mini web site says it fits "4 friends".
I pulled up next to one at some traffic lights yesterday and the back seats looked practically non existent!
Does anyone actually own one and can settle this please?

I’m only 5ft tall and struggle to get in and out of my friend’s mini. It’s absolutely tiny in the back. Also, having made the mistake of booking a convertible in Turkey one year, you will roast with the roof down. It’s like driving inside a fan oven. And I drive a convertible over here!

The new minis are bigger though. I’d get a countryman. Much more practical. 4 doors too.

Why are (some) men such utterly ridiculous idiots?

We have a Mini Cooper S convertible (two door) which I think is about the same size? Have driven long journeys with two friends in the back (eg London to Pembroke). It was fine! One of the friends for that specific trip was well over six foot. It may have helped that I'm a short arse though so moved my front seat as far in front as it could go to make room for him!

Mini club member here - tell your husband he's an idiot and he needs to change the booking.

You could always get your DH to do this....

Friend has one and it would be a tight squeeze to fit 4 in
