To want a North Face puffer?

I know we're now into spring but I've have seen a couple of young women wearing brightly-coloured NF puffer jackets this week (the one with a black strip at the top of the back, if you know what I mean). Not sure I can afford/justify one, but they give off a really cool vibe to me.

American brand? With all the damage Trump is doing to the world? No thanks.

Why would you be unreasonable? They’re incredibly ubiquitous but as someone with zero fashion imagination myself I’m not going to criticise for that.

A colleague in her twenties has one and they do look really cosy but I couldn't bring myself to spend that kind of money on one personally.

I suppose because I'm not all that cool, the cost of them and the fact we're heading towards summer.

I think they're mostly worn by roadmen.

I have a NF gilet for walking the dog.
My DH had it first, was going to send it to charity til I dug it out as the zip went in my Next one. It's soooo warm. Loads of pockets.
I probably wouldn't cough up for a new one but they are warm.

I think they’re so ubiquitous they no longer have any sort of cool vibe. They are practical, though - but as you say, not when we’re heading into summer.

I like them. I work in a uni so see a lot students wearing them but they look so warm. I also love that they’re all in giant hoodies, baggy jeans and dad trainers. They all look so comfy. 😂 If you like it, buy it.

For the money, look at a brand that actually does the job, like Rab or Arc’teryx
North Face are just a fashion brand these days.

NF is a bit cringe. Hundreds of other brands to choose from. I have a Rab one and love it. Not cheap but still going strong after 20 years. Check out sportpursuit. Probably a good time of year to buy one.

They’re crap quality these days - the down feathers fall out through the seams and quilting so quickly.

About 85% of the teens I teach have one. Depends on if that bothers you ..in the end you can choose what you want.

All the posher teenagers round my way have them, plus a Longchamp tote. If you want to pay £300 to look like you’re in year 11 at the local private school, why not! 😄
