I blow my nose on the washing before it goes in the machine... rather than find a tissue!

I'm old enough to have grown up with cloth hankies. As long as its washed hot enough, I don't see problem

Me too - and I think cloth hankies are revolting! OK if it's going straight in the wash but not folder up and into a pocket.

My uncle always said "what do posh people put in their pocket but poor people put in the bin?" - answer is "their snot".

How do I like get into inside the bum crack? I use the underwear as the medium to get the water inside and wipe it all and clean it.

hand, flannel, sponge, directional shower flow?

So a shared work bathroom and you didnt wash your hands after a wee?

So you flushed the chain and touched the lock on a shared bathroom ?

Thats rank!!!

This is the only really disgusting thing I do (well I pick my nose but not when anyone’s watching). Some people I work with don’t even bother to flush though so sod them.

BunnyOnTheOnion · 26/03/2025 14:51

I'm guilty of so many of these, but I'm glad I'm not alone and you're all a bunch of mingers too 🤣

Snot rockets in the shower or out running.

Use a pumice stone on my feet when I'm getting dry/ dressed after swimming. Nothing softens the skin like a 60 min chlorine soak!

Let my cat sleep in my bed/ on my pillow next to my face. Sometimes the bed is all a bit gritty if he's been outside during the night so I vacuum it if needed!

I love the idea of blowing ones nose on washing before it goes in. I need to time it right as I only ever have a runny nose when there's no tissue within a three mile radius. For some awful reason!

The thing I do is bite and chew and pick my lip and inside my mouth. It's so gross and means I'm obviously never able to have lip fillers.
I like to pull the skin off and like to taste the blood.
Gross I know. I think others do it but I don't know anyone who admits to it. It's like biting nails.
I think I have ADHD so that might be partly why?

I am constantly chewing the inside of my mouth too!
I also blow my nose on washing before it goes in the machine and I also blow my nose in the shower! Don't see either of these things as disgusting though!

The major thing I hate is anyone flushing the loo with the lid up! Saw a program once which showed how far the water vapour goes and my toothbrush is not too far away! If we have visitors, then I always move the toothbrushes to the bedroom.

I just use my underwear instead of a flannel and then I wash it again too

I’m also a bit of a picker. If I have a bump , lump, spot it’s gonna be picked. Sometimes I create spots and love picking of scabs or dry skin. So satisfying and addictive.

I squeeze my dogs (I have 6) anal glands go save a trip to the vet!

I have been shown how to do it properly by my vet who approved of me doing it at home.

Is this “disgusting”? Wash your hands, job done. My husband started doing our dogs during lockdown & continued to do them since.

I love having hangnails. In fact I pick and pick at the skin to create them

I do that! That's normal... no?

Me too

rosegoldJune · 26/03/2025 18:16

I wash my face & brush my teeth in the shower my reasoning is that the sink in my en-suite (shared house) is absolutely tiny & the plug is broken so I end up flooding the room & get toothpaste everywhere.

I also pick my toenails & feet, the feeling of nail clippers goes through me & my toenails have to be super short.

catmum44 · 26/03/2025 18:18

I do that! End up with bits of rubbish in pockets 😅😅

I have a friend whose groomer does this, but without gloves!
God bless Hillary, and all who unknowingly shake her hand..

I dip a Crunchie chocolate bar into my coffee and lick the chocolate off. 🤭

I have occasionally dried the rim of mugs that have been draining on the draining board, so mostly dry other than a bit of damp around the rim, on my boobs (covered in bra and t-shirt) - they're just the right shape and you can do two mugs at a time before putting them back in the cupboard...Anyone fancy a brew? ☕😁

My favourite so far

Not disgusting but weird

I sometimes climb the stairs on all 4s when dd isn't home 🤭

I do that nearly every day, know it weird, disabled but no funding in my area to put decent adaptions to my house.

Fluffyblackcat7 · 26/03/2025 18:24

CowboyJoanna · 25/03/2025 16:31

If it was disgusting in my eyes, I wouldn't do it.

But people at the place I used to work at before having the kids gave me grief for not washing my hands after a wazz (i wash them after a poo obviously)

Sorry but that's definitely gross. If you use toilet facilities you need to wash your hands as you will inevitably be touching fittings such as doorhandles and locks that other people who have defecated have touched. This is how noro virus spreads.

Whenever you visit the loo, please wash your hands.

I do this and also have ADHD! Once bit through a nerve in my cheek and half my face went numb for weeks. Biting the inside of my cheeks and picking at my gums (dentist insists I just have receded gums even when I tell him I pick them, he’d never even heard of it being a thing). Currently avoiding the dentist as I’ve picked the gum so low the root of my tooth is exposed. Probably more gross than your picking lips but sounds like a similar compulsion!

Sometimes I dust the bedside table, bathroom shelves etc with clothes im about to put in the wash. Socks, leggings etc

But aren’t you wiping sweaty socks over your house?

Namechangefordaughterevasion · 26/03/2025 18:29

All these people doing disgusting things in a plume of urine droplets - and yet the human race survives and thrives.

Conclusive proof that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

There are just as many germs on the taps and the door handle. So when you come out of the stall, you turn on the tap, which leaves some germs and picks up some too. You wash the germs off your hands, then turn off the tap, getting more germs on your hands. Then you open the door, getting more germs on the handle, and picking some up as well. Then you go to the kitchen and turn on the tap to fill the kettle.

We're surrounded by germs. Good hygiene can reduce risk, but it can't stop you coming in contact with germs. And in shared loos, there's nothing you can do to avoid them, short of a hazmat suit.

Edited

Yes, you are touching germ ridden items right up until you wash your hands. Then, you turn off the tap using a paper towel or tissue, keeping your hands clean.

Personally, after washing my hands, I also use my shoulder to push open the main toilet door to avoid touching it with my freshly washed hands or use my sleeve to cover my hand if I need to pull the door open. Is that just me?

I'm glad I'm not alone. Please try and see the dentist just for a checkup, if they're decent they won't be judgemental. It's funny the things people do to comfort themselves isn't it? X

BatshitIsTheOnlyExplanation
Why is your bum sore after walking? Am I missing something?

I haven’t exercised for age, having been very fit, and slender, a couple of years ago.

Have recently restarted, but bigger than I was before. Probably tmi, but it’s been hot and sweaty here the past few days and my cheeks have rubbed together. Feels like nappy rash!
Bought an anti-chafing stick today so shouldn’t be an issue going forward!

Ahh. Good old Chub rub!! I get it between my thighs!

Girlsjustwannahavefunno1 · 26/03/2025 18:36

I have dyspraxia* (so I'm clumsy) and find it hard to eat with a knife and fork. I get the bags of pre made salad and (with clean hands) pick it up & put it in my mouth. I was eating chicken nuggets and chips tbh and working on my computer at the same time....
