To ask for help for a 90s outfit?

I’ve got a hen do on Saturday and it’s 90s themed, so everyone’s dressing up suitably. It’s drinks locally then into a nearby city.

I thought I had loads of time but now it’s on Saturday and I’ve got nothing. The Spice Girls are already taken.

Any help please?

Spaghetti strappy dress with ditsy flower print over white tshirt. Floppy velvet hat

Tight fitting going out top, low rise flare jeans with a sarong tied round your waist

Matching tartan mini skirt and jacket in pink or yellow with knee high black boots and a black patent mini backpack

Low rise khaki combats, g string showing. Tight white cropped vest top

Take a trip to primark, went the other day and it was like stepping back in time. All the cropped blazers and mini tartans like in Clueless or low slung cargos and strapping tops.

I went to a 90s thing last year … went Grunge. Plaid shirt, Nirvana T Shirt, Jeans, plenty of beads .. and messy hair.

Just watched 10 Things I Hate About You - it was literally everything @LighthouseTeaCup recommended!

Hair pulled back tight in a bun or ponytail too.

Were you thinking of a character from the 90's or generic, clothing from the era? A singer?

I was a teen, and recall tied dyed and thermal tops where it would imprint the heat from your hand. Shell suits.

We had Adidas shell suits, Sweater Shop jumpers, with a bit of Kookai & Tammy Girl. A lot of the high street stuff in the shops now has those 90s vibes. Vinted a good place to start 😀

The supermodels were very popular around this time.
I echo pp's on their recommendations of grunge and Ab Fab. Friends was huge.
Cargo pants, vest and baseball caps were popular with Nike Air Max!!!

In the 90,s i waa wearing long skirts and long tops or.dresses teamed with my beloved DM,boots white musk perfume and patcholi oil were firm favourites and floppy hats as a pp has already mentioned and stripey tights

My SIL went to a 90’s party as Whigfield. She wore her hair in plaits and just a black vest strap dress, someone else was also Whigfield in a hair towel and a wrap towel!

Early 90’s raver - chunky boots, black leggings & top, leather bucket hat & and bum bag, that was my favourite outfit back then, you could always add some white gloves & a whistle for a bit extra lol

I watched BH90120 to get ideas for a 90s night.
Ended up with white tshirt and denim shorts with neon bike pants under and scrunchy neon socks.
I looked hot 😆

I don’t remember anyone wearing that kind of thing on nights out in the 90s!

There was definitely more of black bike pants under denim shorts on the show than fluoro but I did see Kelly wearing it so went with it.

Excellent suggestion by a pp for the 90s rave scene. For true authenticity you will need to be sweating buckets and drink water all night. Tell casual acquaintances how much you really love them.

Low rise stonewash jeans with those inbuilt wide denim belts (anyone remember them?). With some kind of silk bustier and plenty of shimmery make up.
