What do you pay in the south/south east?
Availability round here seems limited, have been quoted £40-45ph but not got much to compare it with.

Wonderfulequipment · 07/03/2025 13:37

£36 p/h here (Midlands) or £340 for 10 - but I get the impression he’s about to put the prices up.

PenCreed · 07/03/2025 13:38

£34 for an hour in south London.

CostcoBuns · 07/03/2025 13:39

socks1107 · 07/03/2025 13:40

Oxfordshire

sherbertyellowteddy · 07/03/2025 14:15

Midlands, £36 an hour 😭 it amazing how fast an hour goes when you paying that price. Can't afford to do 2 hours.

Badbadbunny · 07/03/2025 14:17

£35-£40 per hour in NW England.

FluffyDashhound · 07/03/2025 14:25

Get some lessons with a family member. Do a crash course.

B1indEye · 07/03/2025 14:29

Once you've ring round a few you'll get a feeling for the costs, I don't live in the SE so not relevant what they cost here but I found there wasn't much difference between instructors which was what I'd expected. Market forces work pretty well

You aren't thinking of going to a different area to save money are you?

InigoJollifant · 07/03/2025 14:36

£80 for 2 hours here in SW.

ShouldIbeEmbarrassed · 07/03/2025 15:17

Currently paying £55 for 90 mins for my son in East Yorkshire

SushiWarrior · 07/03/2025 15:20

Just passed my test. £80 for 2 hours south coast.

cinnamonbiscuit · 07/03/2025 15:33

£40/hour in Gloucestershire, and honestly shopping around isn’t an option here, there is almost zero availability, so much demand that waiting lists are closed- I had to go with the first instructor with space and it took 18 months to find one!

Oblomov25 · 07/03/2025 16:29

Good grief, prices have increased. I'm starting ds2 soon, but ds1 was £30.

NavyNorris · 07/03/2025 16:55

My daughter pays £30 an hour.
We live west sussex on the south coast.
