Reverse Botox - to 'prove' you haven't had Botox?!

Noticed this a few times - even on Daisy May Cooper AIBU Series (which I'm a late viewer to and enjoy MN references e.g 'Looks like a Thumb') - they have Klingon style Forehead i.e 3 to 4 symmetrical creases as if to prove they haven't had Botox - looks weird and laughing at reverse psychology!! what happened?

what on earth is the point?

IroningBoardAgainstTheWall · 08/02/2025 18:28

Can you send us an example?

IhateHPSDeaneCnt · 09/02/2025 17:05

Nope. Because I'm too much of a technophobe to do a screenshot - but definitely a thing. Perhaps Klingon foreheads will be the forerunner of new trend and you'll have to draw them in to be fashion savvy.

So they have Botox to make symmetrical wrinkles?

CalicoPusscat · 09/02/2025 17:10

I don't quite follow this

ThatShyRoseViper · 09/02/2025 17:11

What are you on about?!

Sparrow7 · 09/02/2025 17:25

Do you mean they have a normal forehead that makes expressions? How to I get one of them?

ARainyNightInSoho · 09/02/2025 17:26

What? Just not at all enough information to understand what you mean OP.

lnks · 09/02/2025 17:27

Why are we still trying to police what a woman should look like?

Botox isn't for me but if a person wants to have it what's wrong with that? It's no different than applying makeup or dying your hair

Wallacewhite · 09/02/2025 17:28

This is a classic example of seeing things not as they are, but as we are. You're clearly someone preoccupied with botox and facial aesthetics so you're seeing perfectly natural foreheads as being in opposition to whatever the heck is going on with your forehead. Weird.

Coffeeishot · 09/02/2025 17:30

Daisy may cooper has said recently (maybe on womens hour) that she's stopped getting botox because she's an actor and needs expression, so it isn't a reverse anything. She's quite transparent when she talks about her cosmetic procedures so I don't see why she would lie about botox.

ChompandaGrazia · 09/02/2025 17:31

Eh? Woman looks normal isn’t news.

Jacobeen · 09/02/2025 17:34

I have Botox. If I leave it for 6 months the forehead gets lines again. It’s not reverse. It’s just stopping it

IhateHPSDeaneCnt · 09/02/2025 17:39

Only MN! - jump on the bandwagon! What I was trying to say is that actors have to - ACT - and they need facial expression. However, the 'reverse Botox' is almost like plastic surgery!

What bandwagon?

"the 'reverse Botox' is almost like plastic surgery" So it isn't plastic surgery then

ARainyNightInSoho · 09/02/2025 17:43

I am finding this confusing

SneakyLilNameChange · 09/02/2025 17:44

Do you mean they have Botox when frowning to get it stuck in that position? I have no idea what ‘reverse Botox’ could possibly be.

ARainyNightInSoho · 09/02/2025 17:47

OP you have assumed everyone knows what reverse Botox is, and nobody does. What is it?

lnks · 09/02/2025 17:47

It's just an OP sneering and laughing at women who make different choices to her.

PinkArt · 09/02/2025 17:50

OP 'reverse botox' isn't a thing?! What you're describing is just botox that's wearing off, no botox or light botox so the forehead still has movement, isn't it?

Bakedpotatoes · 09/02/2025 17:50

I don't know what reverse Botox means and I've googled it and everything? OP please tell me what it is - I'm invested now.

We may never know. Apparently it’s not googleable and OP can’t be bothered to explain

steff13 · 09/02/2025 17:56

So you're saying people are having plastic surgery to give their foreheads wrinkles? I don't get why someone would do that? Botox isn't permanent, once it wears off your wrinkles come back.

sp1ders · 09/02/2025 17:58

I'd rather have wrinkles than be someone who can't even express themselves adequately online.

It's words Jim, but not as we know them 🤔🤨😂
