If not what has been your best decade? What made each decade good/bad

They were just different.

In my 20s I was very up and down, relationships not always the best, mad crushes on unsuitable men, late nights, drinking a lot. A lot of good times but a lot of crying too.

30s a lot more stable, got married, had a child.

I'm in my 50s... suddenly I am attractive to women (I am male) sadly I ain't bothered no more.

But I can say fuck you. I don't have to please the boss. Family are all good

40s better than either. I don't have kids, but I've been married for 20 years and am very happy in my marriage. My early thirties were a bit of a rough patch as I changed career, and my late thirties were slightly marred by Covid: not the disease itself, but the government's insane reaction to it (I am in Scotland and Sturgeon had us on house arrest for two full years. Awful, awful woman) I am more prosperous in my forties, and I have kept my figure, so I'm doing well.

Yes. Everything good happened in my 30s - kids, wedding, house move etc and life has been relatively easy since then.

I had a great twenties, lots of going in to London to see friends and travelling to the USA every year to visit my older brothers. Trained as a nurse, retrained in my later 20’s, met DH and got engaged at 30. Moved cities again, lots of travel, had children. Chucked children in a back park when small and still traveled quite a bit, we have relatives in 4 different countries so was helpful. Bought our house, had luck with an investment and paid the mortgage off just before 40. Peaked in my career later forties, now in my fifties still happy with DH. Have had a few health issues but they are responding well to treatment.
